I don't know about you but I don't have trouble with Snakes.
That, or I haven't been fighting the goods ones, because I just loathe G&W and Wario.
and MK with the spamming can be a pain.
I still lose to good MKs, but I'd much rather take that kind of defeat any day.

i fight a really good snake, and i can tell that if sonic is good and the snake is bad it can be pretty easy to throw down on one...

xyro, i have some of 3000s results in my thread already. if you went in there and read like you should have then you would have also seen that i ignore every result that isn't in my format.
its not because i'm lazy, or trying to be a d-bag, but if i don't make everyone do it then people post like idiots and i have to tear apart 234543 pages of pure spam because people feel like posting one part of the result in 47532 different posts.
also, my thread is about sonic's tournament discussion as a whole. this didn't really need its own thread. i would have said something earlier but no one said anything.

i think people need to realize that tournament results are only half of what makes a good sonic.
i could john about mine, but i really don't need to. everyone in my area (upper NE) knows my sonic is better than good. so, john, whatever. i don't need to john every post like kid about my sonic (<3 kid).
so, this thread needs to close, and xyro needs to follow the guidelines like everyone else. we know 3000 has a good sonic, knowledge of him is widespread.

Just to correct something, his last videos are from july, not 6 months ago. Still a long time ago though.
I was judging his playstyle moreso because of Zyro and Hylian's more recent descriptions of him, not being flashy and not utilizing ATs unless needed, so I think that in this sense, his playstyle hasn't changed. While it certainly has probably developed, that doesn't mean his general playstyle may have changed. But you're right, we do need more recent vids. Hopefully soon ^_^
And yea, my playstyle has changed and developed tremendously in the last month or 2, lol.

MR 3000 has never beatenme with sonic.
i have been trying to play a "simplistic sonic lately" like 3000 does..
seems pretty effective.. i mean, dont get me wrong i still use ASC, but actually... sonic seems pretty potent jsut using his tilts, smashes, and aerials..
most emphasis on tilts...
AND HOLY ****! utilt is seriously ****... i started using it for all kinds of ****. seriously.. i think utilt is one of sonics best moves now.

Oh my freakin goodness, I've only watched the Falcon vid and WOW.

This is sooo much better than his old stuff, and I love it, because he's incorporated so many new things without giving away his old style.
I am seriously impressed, 3000. I was never totally convinced about his skill as a Sonic before, but WOW. I am truly, truly impressed.
Shield Cancels all around were too good, everything was too good.
Gotta go watch the other vids now, my goodness.

3000 is pretty awesome. He's doing alot of spin dashes and charges that I use to do before I realized that they left me too open and vulnerable.
I also lol'd when he tried to beat Lucario's fsmash's range on several occasions. He got beasted by dair so many times that it hurt to watch.
Other than that though, I loved his little spin games, and his edge guarding was too cool. He made several misteaks here and there, but overall, he's got a **** near solid Sonic.
Oh, and needs more tilt, seriously. I don't think I saw any more than 1-3 tilts in the second Lucario match.
I really gotta play him soon. We live in the same state, so eventually we'll meet.
Oh, and if that was him johning about the tripping at the end of vs Lucario #2, I could understand oh so much. I remember that I tripped 3 times on my own against a Diddy who's naners made people cry on the inside.

watching him play, im not even joking, is like watching myself from about 2 months ago. the ASC spam, the back air madness, the f-smashing everywhere, the grab mindgames, the aggression, this is a lot like how i play with 2 big exceptions
1. he spams ASC cancels so much, its about as much as when RATS does it, he should everyonce in a while, side be cancel instead of ASC, but keep in mind these are all my opinions.
2. beastly combo
down b, to attack jump, to footstool, to double jump back wards, to ASC to either SD combo or shield canceled grab,
i am definitely going to be stealing this string, and in return i will give him 1 piece of advice and one move in return
advice, dont forward smash so much, either use tilts or down smash, they are both better for damage racking, and are faster
move to steal from me, actually im feeling generous today so ill give you 2 moves
1. run behind the opponent, do a screech stop and forward smash the other way, if you only do it like 2 times per match, to kill, they wont see it coming and walk right into it.
2. i like to ***** out the side b invincibility and combo that into an up air, and possibly another up air or spring down air, its a very (maybe the most) reliable damage racking move sonic has

i added more vids to front page. theres like 7 of them now. quality is bad....blame my GFs pink camera for that one.
