my TO is kinda stingy with his recording equipment but ill try to get at least one match recorded.
that way you can all see how the BEST sonic plays.

if you have the chance i would really like to see a match between mr 3000 and X's little brother Dai-A. Dai-A plays falco and has beaten X in like the last 3-5 tourneys that they have been to. Thats the best way to determine who is better. i think.

Oh man, X vs 3000 is like, the possibly one of the hugest contrasts in Sonic playstyles you could ever find. X is like a rampaging blue hogdozer which runs on steakjuice for fuel, while 3000 has the the simplest most purist Sonic playstyle that is effective as well.

As much as my ego has been stroked, Hylian was right to a certain degree in his first post.
And KID's reply was just as right, XD

First off, is mr.3k just a good "brawler"? Plain and simple, NO! He basicly has dropped DDD(his 2ndary) and IF he uses it....its only on his brother or a non serious match(friendlie).

Does he have heart? Well ill leave that up to you. Mr.3000 mained LINK in melee...remember how horrible he was? Yea well 3000 didnt care. He chose link because he truly loved the zelda series and the way flows in battle. The same with Sonic. 3000 has been in love with this character since the 90's Sonic tv show(most of you may not remember that show). Mr.3000 picks who he ENJOYS, who he can "connect" with. And Sonic is his beast.

Personaly, i think that ANYBODY who takes the time to MAIN a low tier and devote lots of effort into reading/watching/practicing with that low tier is truly into that character and not just into playing smash to win(if he was he would have gone meta long ago). 3000 Is not afraid of any match up in this game(even if its sonics worst matchup). At HOBO11 he was DECIMATING metas(workin that F-smash on tornados). He is honestly(like me) one of the FEW who are dedicated to his character through the thick and the thin. If there is ONE person in the entire state of TX that truly has "heart" its Mr.3000.

Now, about his play style. Some call it simple, some call it stupid and some say he CANT be technical. Heres the truth. Mr.3000 doesnt need to be technical(flashy) or bust out neat tricks. He simply does what WORKS. I assure you that 3000 is VERY capable of doing ANY and ALL of sonic advance techs.....he only uses them if the war calls for it. Personaly, i think ALL sonic players(heck, all smash players) can learn from 3000. DO WHAT WORKS. Ina way its a MEGA MIND GAME. Say, you fighting the foe and your doing simple plain jane stuff right? The foe will think "geez this guy doesnt know any thing advanced, im gonna **** him". Then guess what? Just when the foe thinks your just an average noob sonic....BOOM! go into beast mode! 3000 is rather smart.

This is directed to everyone, especially xyro and KID:

Too bad I'm a bigger Sonic fan than 3000.

I want to go to the big tournaments and get better, but I just don't have the ability to do so. However, I still want to play him in a Sonic ditto, for the hell of it.

We live in the same state for the love of god!! There's no excuse for me NOT to play him. That, and I need to play DMG, Dojo, and Santi as well. Makes me cry that I live in San Antonio... ;_;

And yes, recordings of Mr. 3000 would be great. If I can request, perhaps Sonic vs. Pikachu/MK/Bowser?

You guys should come down to that January tournament KM is planning in SA. I REALLY REALLY wanna play 3000...and discuss all things Sonic-y and good.

As I got Xyro to point out earlier, his last vids were from MONTHS ago.

I don't know about you, but my playstyle (even though it, according to BT, has largely remained the same lol) has developed a bit, and I'm sure his has as well. IMO his vids are no longer valid for judging his current playstyle.

But it was me...at my first tournament...with SONIC. Prior to that tournament, my only Brawl experiences consisted of Wifi play at OBC.com, and my pack of friends who are anti-Smash.

I really do wanna get high up there, but ****ing DMK keeps pushing me down with that whorenado.

Pretty much every tournament except the one I lost to Hylian, I've been knocked out by a Meta Knight. The matches themselves are fun and all, but it's moreso frustrating because I know what to do, but can't follow through on it.

Not to mention that playing so many MKs makes me less effecient against other characters like, for the sake of the example, Pikachu.
