Most Popular Characters (Generally and as Mains)

I am planning on drawing several artworks for an upcoming tournament (Shuffle V). This is my first time, so what would sell?

These will be 12x17" poster-stock prints w/ a glossy finish of different characters in varied styles.

Goddang...he plays so well. I remember as a kid, I always imagined what was theoretically possible with certain characters, and he is basically executing everything PERFECTLY with Yoshi. Not to mention, he looks like the kind of guy I thought would be good as Yoshi LOL.

Thus, I'm considering making just a red Yoshi in honor of aMSa, for fulfilling my childhood dreams...and cuz of your suggestion hahaha.

Really? I know Link is overall a popular character, but just in Smash, I wouldn't think he was popular.

I expected that, but I'm still surprised by the lack of votes for some of the characters -- notably, Peach and Jigglypuff. I guess I'm the only one that would buy good merch of them; winning with Peach and Jigglypuff just feels good lol. That comes from their personalities and the communities reception to them.

I was taking into account the casual players as well, Link is just really popular and the reason 70% of people get this game is to play as their favorite nintendo characters. In recent days I assume the majority gets it for the competitive aspect, so in that view no he isn't popular.

I'm currently working on sketching all the posters out. Would having Fox and Falco in the same picture ward off purchases? It's not that I don't want to make two separate pictures, but I don't think Fox/Falco are fit for their own poster. From what I've seen, people interchange between Fox and Falco. So, having both in a picture wouldn't seem to hurt.
