More Subspace Teasing: Sakurai Rolls out Another Trailer for SSE

First, I’d like to apologize to those who were expecting a topic for them to be able to adequately discuss the hilarity that ensued for the Kirby hats, but the joy of holiday shopping and preparation had me exhausted. Hopefully I won’t have to run into that again.

Anyways, here we are with yet another video from Subspace Emissary which brings a little bit more video than previously found from E-4-All or GameTrailers combined. A few shots gave us some interesting looks on how Bowser gets involved, yet still leaves us wondering why Link and Yoshi are paired together.

I liked today's update, though again, didn't really tell us anything. It's hard to comprehend video updates when you're used to ones like yesterday's 19 one-frame videos (images, don't worry, it's me trying to make a funny >.>).

I think I'm starting to understand how the beginning works;
You select a Mario or Kirby, you fight the other one, then your are forced to played as the character you didn't pick and the other goes off to meet up with Pit.
You then save you selected princess, the other is taken away by Wario.

In this way, Link could never match up with Yoshi in your game, and Meta Knight will never fight along side with the Ice Climbers.

Here's what I saw:

Bowser using trophy gun
Lucas's moves and Baseball bat smash (so long Ness )

I don't think anyone knows what that gun does, but it will be interesting to see what role Bowser plays. Does this mean he won't be playable for SSE, or will the cutscenes change? Maybe he will (as usual) do a temporary heel face turn once you beat him?

Also no matter how I looked at that video, I couldn't see what lucas was holding. The pose matched homerun bat's but I cant tell if it's related any other way. None of his other standard attacks resemble Ness's really.

I think this is looking to be quite deeper in gameplay than the previous 'race to the finish + beat some guy' stages of Melee's adventure mode.

Ganondorf was never meant to be a clone in the first place, and seeing how popular he is now I doubt they will half *** him. Also, what do you guys think of my idea?

I think I understand how the beginning works;

In this way, Link could never match up with Yoshi in your game, and Meta Knight will never fight along side with the Ice Climbers. Your teams are all made (for the most part) by your choices in the game. And remember, your can have more then 2 people on your team... (just not active) Capitan Falcon, Snake, Ganondorf, and Ike. Add Meta Knight if more badassitude is needed.

Anyways, more interesting than that was either A) I saw a small desynch combo with IC or B) they increased the lag time in between the twin's attacks. I think it was a desynch combo though. DESYNCHING RETURNS!!!

LOL Metaknight and IC = AWESOME. My roomie wants to play Metaknight. That'll be a fun chapter.

but seriously, I won't consider him deconfirmed until they either show the complete list of all characters, or make him an AT or background element. It won't really bother me if he's in or not, but that's just as bad as saying "ridley confirmed" just because of some random Metroid update. I will be waiting to see which way they go. But I'm certain Sakuraisaid that every playable character would be revealed before the game's launch.

I'd been waiting for a SSE update for ages, and then this came along and blew my mind! I don't know if this is just me, but this seems like one - if not the best - of the best weeks we've had in a long time.
