MKLDT#1 A Doubles Tourny

This doubles tourny will be using the official Unity ruleset. You can view this here:

However, 2 changes are made for this tourny.

1. MK is completely legal.
2. Brinstar/RC are banned (this is to offset MK being legal).

I will wait for 16 entrants (8 teams) before making the bracket. Hopefully we'll have enough people within the week. To register you need to post

1. Both your friend codes.
2. Your team name.
3. Which characters you most likely will be using (you can later change your mind and use whomever you wish, this is just for data purposes, also you can choose as many as you think you'll be using).

By registering you are promising you will be able to go online at least once a week and play your matches. If you fail to show up you and your partner will be DQed and the opposing team will move on. It's not fair to delay the entire tournament for one person.
Also please confirm you have a viable connection before registering.

You have 1 week to complete your matches. Try to get it done sooner if possible. Remember the sooner you finish, the sooner we can move on with the tourny. If there is a dispute during a match, just PM me. Though the Unity rulset covers everything pretty thoroughly. Just as a reminder MK is legal and RC/Brinstar are banned.

If a week goes by and your team gets no response from the other team you will automatically move on to the next round.

As a reminder make sure team attack (friendly fire) is set to on.

Yeah, the singles ladder doesn't use MK but I doubt you've seen the doubles ladder. (I've joined over 3 seasons) Doubles ladder consists of Double MK, MK/GW, MK/Snake, and then the teams that generally never get good scores (due to them being bad or having mid tier characters for both of them. MK's pressure game is very good in singles but it's complete and utter hell trying to avoid pressure from double MK. going to edit team info stuff for tourney afterschool

Doubled Wifi tourneys don't work well do they? I mean it's hard enough to set up a match for two people at a good time, imagine how hard it is to set up a match for four people who could all live in different timezones.
