I guess the reflect barrier could appear on front of her shield (in the case she appears with it) to protect her from both physical and ranged attacks.

That's the plan, and like I said, she can angle it like the Mirror Shield, just more degrees, including protect her from above, but not behind her. She won't say that though. I'm bad with quotes and such. Honestly, she'll definitely be a fun character. I wonder how she'll grab opponents. Maybe standard left hand grab, or although I wouldn't say it yet, "Power of Caging!" I know a couple of her throws should involve her staff creating a light explosion onto the opponent (especially the D-throw).

If Palutena is granted a roster spot, I would hope developers would include her KI:U voice actress. Seeming how Pit retained his KI:U voice for SSB4, I would assume the same for Palutena. The voice actress brought such a charm and lightness to her character imo

Maybe that's just the natural ebb and flow of character support. I see Palutena on pretty much every predicted roster and her name has been on several leaks (including that one that predicted the Ashley AT, though i don't believe it). The only thing stopping Palutena from inclusion at all is if for some reason Sakurai decides not to want her in. She has no large flaws or neck-and-neck competition for the roster spot from other KI characters imo.

I think a lot of Palutena supports know this, so unlike Impa or Ridley or any Fire Emblem supporter we don't need to fight or be especially vocal. A lot of people are just waiting for her reveal, and I'm sure the entire Smash community will be fairly surprised and letdown if she is not added.

And if she doesn't make the cut for whatever reason at least better be an AT

Palutena is my most wanted newcomer, easily claiming the number one spot while spot two and three change quite a bit. This is one character I will be hugely let down by if they're made an Assist Trophy. I'll eventually be placated she's in the game at all but it will be a grim day if I ever see her picture on SmashBros.com without that majical banner beneath it.

Probably would, the only member of that game's cast I'd see being difficult to retain would be Medusa (Cree Summers). Mostly cause she might have a lot of career conflicts, but seemed to fit in Uprising into her schedule, so they probably could even get her.

Us not fighting is what makes us more awesome than the "mainstream" wants. <3 We could peacefully talk here bout Palutena, Pit, and a few KI characters if we wanted to, and not have those big conflicts at all. Then again, Palutena does prefer to be peaceful.

Gotta love her, huh? :3 The fun banters between her and Pit, and hilarious content. They'd be one amazing 2v2 team if it was possible. I wouldn't even mind being Pit or Palutena in that team. :3

I always found Pit's hairflip and Sparkles moment (chapter 5 rally cry) one of if not my favorite moment in the game. It just spells that Pit would be hilarious and even cooler if Kid Icarus ever had an ongoing anime series.
I do admit Hades is a fun villain, much better than all the serious ones.

Follow that up with a light but playful hit with her staff on the angel, then starts fighting the others.

And at the end, the 2 are together again with a cool pose to hint a potential 2v2 team, only for Palutena to playfully hit him again, and bring out the nerdy glasses to taunt us. If it's on March 22/23, I hope there's a little thing showing that it's Uprising's 2-year anniversary.

Chances are she's likely a hidden character. She probably wouldn't create a lot of buzz, even though she's popular. It's tough to explain, but I feel like she's largely hidden character material, even if I feel like we shouldn't unlock characters at all.

I doubt that we can hardly say anyone is a shoo-in. Who says that a Fire Emblem spot cannot go to say Robin, Lyndis, or Roy in stead of Chrom? I can see that the Mii might not be included. I am pretty sure everyone thought Ridley was going to be in Brawl (I could be wrong as I was not around during that time).

I want Palutena in as much as anybody else here and I too think it would be silly to omit her from the roster. I just don't think anyone is guaranteed.

While Palutena is indeed my only want as far as characters go, I won't be furious, knowing she will definitely have a larger role than she was in Brawl. Even then I'll still have Pit and Bowser by my side. However, just seeing her in a daily pic one way or another will open up the chance for more fanart, and I feel we definitely need more KI fanart.

As a non-FE fan, I see Robin being more plausible than Chrom. Robin represent the player, is as important for the scenario (as much as I know) and have more originality as a fighter. About Palutena, she is the only one that I consider being a shoe-in, with her popularity, potential moveset, being a character revived by Sakurai, and her presence in Brawl.
But even if I think she is a shoe-in, she can step back But considering Kid Icarus is presented with the other big franchise in the Smash 4 trailer, a second character can happen. (and a Queen of the Underworld should happen too)

The only way I see Chrom getting in is if they replace Ike, but Robin (both genders) is one of the most popular characters, which helps his/her chances quite a lot. Not to mention that it would show the series being more than just swordsman by adding magic to the mix.

Rosalina having very little request definitely seems to indicate the fact that uniqueness is emphasized with the newcomers. This also seems to help Robin over Chrom if they decided to give him a stance change play style.
