I'm hoping the series gets another representative, as firstly Pit appeared in SSBB so many people know who he is now and secondly Kid Icarus Uprising sold 1.10m copies worldwide, which is a pretty good number. And of course, Sakurai made the KI:U so he may have a soft spot for the characters in the Kid Icarus series, just like the Kirby characters.

Really hope so. Something felt amiss when Kirby rep kinda skyrocketed from Melee to Brawl (*cough* OP'd MK *cough*). With such in mind, really hoping Kid Icarus gets a lot of good things. We already have a 3ds stage and X-bomb item, but there definitely has to be more KI stuff. After all, Pit was also in the trailer too as one of the 8 main franchises from the first one, so I have the confidence for Palutena to get in somehow. I just hope I'm right.

In terms of her chances, I'd probably pin her at around the 50-60% range. I'd group her in this section with K. Rool, Ridley and Dixie Kong, and it's as high as I go for newcomers.

I'd put her as more likely than those three (who I'd also group in with Mii and Pac-Man), but less likely than Little Mac (who I'd put on an 80% really). I'd probably put her chances at about 70%.

In essence, my reckoning is roughly:

Top tier
Little Mac - 80%
Palutena - 70%

Middle tier
King K. Rool - 60%
Ridley, Dixie Kong, Pac-Man, Mii - 50%.

Definitely. At least Japan recognizes her popularity. Then again, much of her popularity comes from Japan iirc. Should we wait til late March to see what happens, right around KIU's 2-year anniversary? It's just an example.

Rool and Ridley, and she doesn't make people as mad as Pac-Man and Mii. Little Mac is probably just included in the leaks to make it sound believable too.

When you put it that way, I'm glad she isn't getting that kind of attention like the others. We Palutena supporters could just patiently wait here with our nerdy glasses and watch the other character supporters create their own chaos because of those rumors.
On the other hand, I'm still worried bout her being playable or not. While atm there hasn't been much Pit or KI-centered pics showing up lately, and I think it'll grow later, but I get worried for each day that none show up. However, I'd assume we have to wait 2 months before we can start seeing more and more.

Well I hope you're right. I don't wanna be restricted to Pit/Bowser (the only 2 characters I could use well) again. Palutena would be my definitely 3rd main who will have priority over Bowser, and after Pit. It really depends on how she is.

It makes perfect sense to me. While K. Rool and Ridley fans are being baited by these "leakers", we are in silent prayer to the Goddess of Light that she may grace us with her presence on the battlefields of Super Bash Sisters.

The world needs more Pit+Palutena, and once she's here, Celestial Fireworks all over the place! In the meantime, we have any artists within the Palutena supporters?

Honestly I feel like Palutena is a shoe in at this point. She's insanely popular in japan and popular in the uS. She's wanted everywhere! Plus she's female!

It has probably been said, but Palutena is also the only non-playable, non-hostile character to appear in the Subspace Emissary. She already took part of the fight, she just need to go on the battlefield (or the Final Destination) now!

Good point. We can just wait here peacefully, and hope our wish comes true. I wonder which of her "powers" that she gave to Pit that will become moves. I always felt that she could activate Reflect Barrier by using her shield (Down-B) for one. Of course, being her power, she's likely to modify it and make it protect her to a larger degree compared to Pit's, like make it larger.

I guess the reflect barrier could appear on front of her shield (in the case she appears with it) to protect her from both physical and ranged attacks.
