Hopefully Palutena will be revealed tomorrow. I think this is a perfect chance for Nintendo to get people hyped up for Wii U games, and what better way to hype people up than a Super Smash Bros. announcement, and with Kid Icarus's anniversary tomorrow, I think Palutena has a greater chance to be revealed then someone else.

It could be that Sakurai doesn't plan to announce all newcomers before the game's release. Rosalina's reveal was probably to coincide with the recent release of SM3DW as there's a link to the game's website on her character page. There'll be more opportunities for a potential Palutena reveal in the future so don't lose heart just yet

I really hope so. I had 2-3 months of preparation for this moment, and I wont be shut down just yet. I'm going to the bunker marked "3/22/14" on it if it helps. *sulks* Still shipping Rosalina with Pit in the meantime. But while we're on to her, what do you think of Rosa's style so far?

At the very least, Rosalina's reveal confirms to me that Palutena cannot be dismissed as a playable character on the grounds of having a lack of moveset potential since I'm fairly sure that Rosalina didn't have any before her appearances in SM3DW and SSB4.

Plus, like Admiral Pit suggested, I'm willing to bet that Sakurai would make Palutena's reveal trailer one of the best looking and most memorable and I'm also willing to bet that Rosalina won't be the last female character to be revealed so besides from Sakurai not acknowledging KI's 26th anniversary, I can't really see anything from Rosalina's reveal that makes Palutena any less likely; if anything, it makes her more likely IMO.

Me neither, in fact I see her more like a totally unexpected reveal, yes, in an anniversary could be more memorable but just having her makes me happy. And yes, I think Sakurai is aware or release dates(so I expect anniversaries too), remember the Uprising eShop release?
Also, Palutena having the same height as Rosalina, anyone? Maybe a little bit taller.

I really hope we do get something Kid Icarus related this upcoming pic of the day for the anniversary. Atm I only seen 1 anniversary pic on Pixiv celebrating Pit's 27th birthday featuring much of the KIU characters in 8-bit form.
I could see Palutena as slightly taller though, but that's just me.

The only way I could see Rosalina affecting Palutena is....that if Palutena was introduced we'd now have four women of royalty. Which does seem like a lot (considering there aren't many woman) but that probably won't be much of an issue for Sakurai.

That might not be her biggest problem though....I heard recently that Palutena doesn't really fight in Uprising, that coupled with Sakurai's modesty and the point I mentioned above could be enough to push her out of the running. Rosalina seemed to be a choice based around her move set potential....so if Sakurai is focusing more on characters he doesn't have to invent moves/battle styles for Palutena could be in big trouble.

Although in saying that, Sakurai works in mysterious ways so who knows?

True. Besides, we haven't seen Rosalina fight at all (not counting Mario 3d world), and yet she's in Smash with stuff we never thought she'd use, so I'm sure Palutena could get similar treatment too, with the exception of what's in your spoiler.
(wish I could occasionally skype message with ya btw.) It may have been a day since Rosalina's reveal, but I'm still sad, and trying to find ways to be relaxed can be tough.

Watch as Palutena makes in as a Rosalina clone with a Centurion replacing the Luma.

I'm kidding, obviously. She has potential judging by her appearance in Uprising. Given that she's the goddess of light, one could imagine her having all sorts of light magic attacks. One of her specials could be summoning a Centurion to aid her.

By the way, the whole KI anniversary means jack squat regarding her reveal. She could be revealed at any time or not at all. There have been many anniversaries and hardly any of them had character reveals, so there's no correlation between both.

March 22nd will be KIU's 2-year anniversary. While some think anniversaries don't matter, I'm still imagining it's a good chance for her to appear, and voices should be in the game by that time. Never know. Actually, maybe as soon as voices are in, there will be some Palutena goodness.

The Rosalina reveal doesn't change anything for Palutena. It's the first reveal we have gotten out of the presumed ones prior to release, but the characters are in no way similar other than the fact they are super powerful women. Especially considering the direction they went with for Rosalina.

he specifically has said that effected their inclusion in melee, as he didnt want appear to have a bias towards his characters.

I would consider all the KI characters, besides maybe Pit himself Sakurai's babies. You wouldn't be a Palutena fan if Sakurai didn't completely remake the games. Prior to KI:U's reveal, no one asked for Palutena or Medusa.
