Well, I would actually be pretty upset. But I have Pikachu, Peach, and Toon Link, all in amazing HD, three awesome newcomers I'm waiting to try out, etc. etc. Sure, I'd be bummed, but I have a lot more stuff for this game I'm excited about.

I'd be down for Palutena. Somehow I feel like she'd end up being a low tier character though.

My fear is that if she is playable, she will be on the lower end of that list. I'd be sad and be mostly with Pit more again. She better be mid or higher if anything. And like always, wait for December and hope she arrives for when the KI anniversary comes, which is actually 12/19/89, but that date for this year is on a Thursday, so good hopes December to put it lightly.

Why would it matter if she is a lower tier character? Game patches exist they can take advantage of that if it's a problem for the balancing.

I'd say probably just her scepter with some light magic and using improved versions of the Powers she gives to Pit. If she has to have 1 move with a KI:U weapon in it, let it be the Wolf Claws, as a reference of her using them in the anime short.

Yeah. Out of all of the newcomers that actually really have a great chance of getting in, Palutena is the only one I really want. Her and maybe Little Mac.

When making Palutena movesets, you guys take a lot of her attacks from her boss battle, right?
Because that's what I'm doing, although I would LOVE to see her pull out some Wolf Claws!

Some of the moves I put for her are indeed from her boss battle, but I try to add some nice things, references, and create something unique to her if I can. It isn't easy as I hit an ideal block.

I'm hoping for some type of reveal to reference Super Bash Sisters in some way. Make it happen, Sakurai, that is too good to pass up.

December seems like a good month to reveal her, but I'm not gonna jump to conclusions. We can only hope and pray to her.

I'm wondering... If both Palutena and Rosalina were in the game, how would their movesets be different?

Palutena would rely on light-based attacks, and Rosalina would use wand attacks, gravitational attacks, and use star bits as attacks. They are different you know.

I also imagine Palutena would break out KI:U's weaponry. What I meant was in terms of play style.

Palutena would curse Rosalina the way she did to Medusa if Rosalina tried to play anything like her. That's why Medusa wasn't a clone of Palutena in Super Bash Sisters.

Palutena would be slower and heavier but also use her weapons and be more of a ranged fighter while Rosalina would be more dependent on Melee attacks like the way she is in Mario 3d World.

Just by looking at my avatar and signature, you can tell I'm a supporter of Palutena. I'd honestly be pretty sad if she wasn't a playable character. I would consider it so much wasted potential.

Considering any AT character would not be playable even if they were not an AT, I'd be perfectly pleased.

Hm, I'd be okay with her being an Assist Trophy, but she deserves to be a fighter imo to deliver her uniqueness to the battlefield... and to tease (and sometimes team with) Pit for our pleasure.

Don't worry too much. Palutena's fate won't be that devastating like Toad (who I already know wasn't gonna be in). Just remember, join together and wait for December, for that's her biggest chance. Besides, Sakurai gave us TL on the JP WW release date, and a nice Mario-themed pic on the JP Mario 3D world release date, so if the chain of Japanese events were to continue, then Palutena will be close. Like I said, KI anniversary was 12/19/86 in Japan iirc, for this year, that day of the year is on a Thursday. Earlier or later in that month is what I suspect her to appear.

But then there's also March of next year for the 2-year KIU anniversary too. Just don't give up, and stay hopeful. I'm sure she will be in the game 1 way or another at the very least.

I think there's no way she'll end up an AT. She'll either be playable or Pit's Final Smash again (hopefully the former).
