Bandit:

These guys are similar to Tacs in that they steal stat boosts and run away. However, instead of stealing a little of every stat, they steal a lot of one stat (They also can steal a lot of the Gold you've acquired up to that point). They sometimes attack in pairs, so you may need to evaluate which stat is more valuable and go after the Bandit that stole that one (assuming you can't take them out both). When desperate, they resort to a flailing tackle move similar to Shy Guys.

Fuzzy:

Avoid these at all costs. These enemies lazily float around and often appear in groups. Touching one causes your character to move erratically and the background and music to distort, severely inhibiting your ability to fight and move around in general. The effects wear off after a bit. Throwing projectiles or other enemies into these will make the fuzzy disappear.

Bungee Piranha:

These are slightly larger than your average Piranha Plant and can be found on ceilings. They make a loud chomping noise to alert the player of their presence (in the case that they're out of sight). When the player gets directly below them, they lunge downwards to eat the player; the player should mash out if caught, but if they dodge the attack it will slam into the ground and become temporarily dazed, allowing you to take it out. It also has an attack where it swings like a pendelum if the player gets close to the side of it before it lunges.

Fluffin' Puffin

Fluffin' Puffins are generally harmless and patrol a (usually open) area with their three chicks. The mother can't be defeated, but it can be launched like other enemies if hit hard enough and will ricochet off of walls, making it good for taking out other enemies. Knocking the mother away will leave the chicks unattended, which will then follow the player and can be picked up like items. They create a temporary cloud trail platform when thrown, allowing you to more easily reach far-off areas. If thrown upward or downward, the cloud wall they create will block other enemies and their projectiles.

And the winner is Pokelego999 Pokelego999 ! Congratulations!

And with that...

Technically, Yoshi only has one enemy, that being:
  • Fly Guy
And...that's really it. Remember: You can submit multiple enemies, but no two submissions can have the same enemy.
I believe those votes are incorrect.
You voted for Cashregister, as did I.
Cashregister and Goombaic voted for me
Torgo and Gorganzales voted for yourself.
Thus, me, you, and Cashregister should all be tied with 2 votes each.

Ooooh, okay! FIxed it.

Job #6: Grim Leecher (Yoshi's Island)
SSBU_Grim_Leecher_Spirit.png

This annoying little pest waits until a fighter gets close to latch onto them. When they do, not only do they deal continuous damage but they also reverse your controls. Jerks.

The best way to shake them off is by dodging continuously in any direction. Attack them ASAP after that, as they can only be attacked when they're about to latch on!

These enemies are very common. They will walk along in a straight line, and nothing will impede them, not even the fact the road has ended, as they will continue to walk on walls and ceilings. They can be defeated very easily.
Bouncing Bullet Bill
1626972799033.png

Bouncing Bullet Bills are shot of out of Bouncing Bullet Bill blasters. (I couldn't find a good image of them, sorry) They act like Bullet Bills did in the Subspace Emissary, but will instead bounce around the area upon hitting walls. They are best defeated with projectiles.
Clawdaddy
1626972964535.png

Clawdaddys will walk back and forth across the area. Upon getting close to one, they will enlarge their claw and swipe at the player. They will ignore them if the player does not come close. The damage they do is solid.
Tap-Tap
1626973046461.png

Tap-Tap's are impervious to most attacks. They will only get pushed back by any attacks. They can only be defeated by getting pushed into pits or getting pushed into other enemies. The stronger the attack, the farther they get pushed. They will walk forward, but will attempt to ram the player when they come near. Their charge up for the ram is telegraphed very hard, so it's easy to avoid. It does mediocre damage at best.

Stilt and Fat Guys

Just more Shy Guy variants. Stilt Guys walk on stilts and are hard to reach with Smash attacks for most characters and will need aerial attacks to be hit. Fat Guys are just Shy Guys but bigger and stronger.

Slugger and Green Glove

A pair of enemies playing some baseball. Both are immune to most projectiles, being able to reflect them with their respective "weapon." Slugger will hit back the projectile immediately, whereas Green Glove will take time to aim the projectile. Either way, fighting them head-on is the best approach.

Burts

Enemies that will also be often found in pairs. They are practically playing leapfrog, and are not much of a threat.

Toadies

Will appear randomly flying and try to steal stat boosts, much like Kirby's Tac. They don't immediately come down once they appear, so you have a chance to dodge them or even beat them if you can reach them. If they manage to steal your stats, there's very little chance of getting those stats back as the Toadies will immediately fly off-screen and escape.

As an aside, what franchises are we skipping for sure?

My bets are on Wii Fit and Street Fighter as certainties.

Quick question for Perkilator though, will we be doing franchises not represented by fighters? (Examples: Stage Franchises, Franchises represented by other means in Smash

Item Balloon (AKA Baron Von Zeppelin)
1626997240013.png

These aren't really enemies...but they might carry enemies sometimes! Balloons will carry all sorts of items and enemies as they fly overhead. If they are carrying an enemy, they will always drop them as soon as you walk beneath them.

Zeus Guy
1626997384469.png

These guys will attack by throwing energy balls at you, or they'll punch and kick if you get too close.

Dancing Spear Guys

These guys just dance around in one spot. They don't really target you...but they deal a surprising amount of damage if you're dumb enough to get in their way...

Basically, I'm going to do all the possible franchises with playable characters first, and then figure out where to go from there. The ideas I have are misc. 1st party and misc. 3rd party.

Now to move on to the next series ripe with enemies...
Kirby logo.png

Kirby is also ripe with enemies, naturally, in Smash Run.
  • Waddle Dee
  • Parasol Dee
  • Waddle Doo
  • Gordo
  • Bronto Burt
  • Bonkers
  • Plasma Wisp
  • Shotzo
  • Tac
So feel free to submit any other common Kirby enemies! Remember: you can submit multiple enemies, but no two submissions for the same enemy.

These cute little plants fly in the air. Upon a fighter getting within range of them, they will send their propellers flying and promptly drop straight down and explode. The explosion has short range and deals damage with little knockback. They often spawn in groups, with one being directly after the other usually.
Mr. Frosty
1627142555051.png

A midboss like Bonkers, he has high health and has several attacks. He first chucks a block of ice at the player. The ice block will fly straight forward, being unimpeded by walls and only stopping if an enemy or the player gets hit by it. He will then immediately attempt to ram the player before falling over. When he falls over, there is an ample opportunity to attack him. After getting up, he'll rinse and repeat. Going to close to him will result in him swallowing and then spitting out the fighter across the room. He can also shoot several blocks in several directions rapid fire when he's low on health before ramming.
Chip
1627142867075.png

Chip are very weak enemies. They will hop around, not really attempting to attack the player. If they jump into the player, they do small amounts of damage with minor knockback. They can easily be taken out.
Big Waddle Dee
1627142968518.png

These are basically just larger Waddle Dees. They have far more health and occaisonally jump. They are rarer to spawn, but drop more stat boosts than normal Waddle Dees.
Sir Kibble
1627144032592.png

Sir Kibble will stand still and throw the cutter on their head at players. They will not move from their spot, but they can change direction to toss their cutter at the player, going either left or right depending on the current position of the player.
Scarfy
1627143790275.png

Scarfys will float around peacefully and won't harm anyone. However, if attacked, they turn into their demon form. They will become impervious to damage and chase after the player. If they hit them, they will explode and deal heavy damage. Otherwise, they'll explode on their own after a few seconds.
Poppy Bros. Jr
1627143922432.png

These guys will hop around until a player shows up. When they do, Poppy Bros Jr. will chuck bombs at them. The bombs explode on impact and deal average damage. The bombs can be caught mid air by a skillful player and chucked back, which will knock out the Poppy Bro immediately.

Squishy, Cappy, Kabu, Broom Hatter

Extremely easy to defeat enemies. These are all common enemies in Kirby that rarely provide copy abilities and that little effort to take out. Squishies are squids that can spout water, Cappies are creatures that mimic mushrooms that can use their mushroom caps as a form of defense, Kabus are statues that can vanish and teleport around, and Broom Hatters are enemies that simply sweep the floor. Nothing special really, but they reappear very often in the series and thus feel right as Smash Run enemies.

Wheelie and Grand Wheelie

Living wheels. The Grand Wheelie serves as a bigger variant of the Wheelies and functions as a sort of mini-boss. I think giving both enemies their simple designs rather than the motorbike Wheelie helper design and the modern Grand Wheelie design would be better for Smash Run as the motorbike design gives the impression that you can right them, which wouldn't be the case in Smash Run.

Starman

Not to be confused with Earthbound's. Starman is what it says, a superhero shaped like a star. They can fly around and make big jumps upwards. Defeating them isn't too hard, though.

Meta-Knights

Meta Knight's companions. I'm not sure if they're individuals or "species," but whatever's the case, they each have a unique weapon that allows them to attack differently. Axe Knight swings his axe rapidly when approached by the player, Mace Knight simply swings his mace around, Trident Knight can propel himself foward joust style, and Javelin Knight is a robot that can swing a javelin around itself like a madman. TL;DR, they're a fun batch of weird enemies.

Sword and Blade Knight

Those two dudes of Kirby Right Back At 'Ya. Actually, these two are common enemy sword-wielders with the exact same behavior. Seeing how the sword is one of Kirby's most reoccurring abilities, it's shocking neither of them got in Smash Run in the first place.

Telepathos

A mini boss much like Bonkers and Grand Wheelie. The Telepathos is capable of using ESP abilities straight out of the Mother series. They'll often charge and launch balls of energy, and start to teleport once it's struggling.

Uniclod
1627206574357.png

They may be made of yarn, but that won't stop them from stabbing you with their horn! Uniclods will charge directly towards you if they notice you...but they aren't too hard to take out.

Simirror
1627206749644.png

Simirrors will attack with mirror magic, which is a close-ranged attack that also reflects projectiles. If you don't kill it in one hit and/or combo string, it will fade away and teleport directly behind you.

Spinni
1627207361745.png

The "Speed" of the Squeak Squad, Spinni mainly attacks by throwing shurikens. He'll also try to slash at you with a metal claw...occasionally he'll drop the claw, allowing you to pick it up and use it against him as a battering item.

Storo
1627207463194.png

The "Brawn" of the Squeak Squad, Storo wields a hammer (which he doesn't have in his artwork for some reason) which he uses to try and smash you with. He may also attack by jumping around, dealing damage mid-jump and creating stars when he lands (which are a lot like the stars that appear after Dedede's up B).

Doc
1627207644887.png

The "Brains" of the Squeak Squad, Doc flies around in his own personal UFO...he will attack by either firing lasers, dropping bombs, or spraying a purple gas that freezes you. When he takes enough damage, his UFO will break and he'll fall to the ground. He'll get up and use a cellphone to call for a replacement, but he's vulnerable during this time...Once you actually defeat him, his ship will explode and he'll be blown away.

Batamon
1627206894083.png

An inexplicable character that seems to be a clone of Kirby...in its original appearance, Batamon would usually only be found in places Kirby couldn't actually reach. You could only ever fight one of these things in one level, and...it really didn't do anything. In Smash Run, Batamons are extremely rare joke enemies that really don't have any effect. They can't harm you at all! In fact, most of the time, they'll only spawn inside weird holes in the walls that you can't access. However, finding one in the open and defeating it anyway gives you a HUGE stat boost!

Time to submit a totally random enemy!

Job #7: Ringle
581px-Ringle_KTD_artwork.png

Hailing from Kirby Triple Deluxe. The bell sounds it emits briefly paralyzes any fighter hit by it. It might sound like nothing (no pun intended), but when grouped with particularly powerful enemies, this cute little ringer could ring your funeral bells if you get too cocky.

And with that, it's time to vote for each submission:
Remember: Please don't vote for your own submission.

My vote goes to Pokelego.

So Pokelego999 Pokelego999 wins by a landslide! I'll add your enemies to the bestiary now.

And with that:
Star Fox logo.png

This series is an odd case; despite being a series that has stuck around in Smash since the first game, not a single enemy from Star Fox appears in Smash Run.

So...anything goes in this case, I guess! Remember: you can submit multiple enemies, but no two submissions can have the same enemy.

A enemy from Adventures based of the Tyrannosaurus rex. This large theropod stomps around and upon spotted, it chases after you and attacks by biting and stomping as well using a tail whip, they sometimes come in groups making a fight against these prehistoric carnivores difficult.
