To all those people who say Sakurai doesn't acknowledge
milestones in his updates, I must say I disagree.
He doesn't acknowledge all AMERICAN ONLY special occasions,
but he does acknowledge worldwide/internal occasions.
Here's proof.
1: Sakurai's birthday.

This update was a megaton. The first true confirmation of subspace emissary,
which contained 42 seconds of footage. I'd hardly call that ignored.
2: The 100th update.

Another megaton. Yes, this is the first confirmation of Wi-fi mode.
3: Halloween 07
That's a pumpkin. Also this was the first stage update in AGES.
4: The 50th update.
I BELIEVE it was the confirmation of Zero Suit Samus on the Dojo.
A character update is a character update.

Lack of thanksgiving update:
Why were you expecting a special update just for you?
Thanksgiving isn't even celebrated here in England! And we speak the
same LANGUAGE, now I'll be ****ed if they all ate turkey over at Sora...
This update would only really make sense to 1/6 of the site, as it would appeal to
Americans only.
Lack of November 24th/December 3rd update:
Again, this update would only appeal to 1/3 of the site, think of the Europeans
who weren't even supposed to know the game was delayed. We don't have a release
date in the bottom left corner of the menu panel.

This thread wasn't made to change anybody's opinion/turn their lives
around, but I just want everyone to stop being such cynical pessimistic
depressing characters when it comes to updates. You can't say "no-one get your
hopes up" when an actual milestone turns up just because an update on a milestone
you made up yourself OR one that only appeals to Americans didn't quite satisfy you.
Have some optimism! But also show some consideration, the developers want to
appeal to everyone, and they can't do that by appealing to one group. If I didn't
come here every day, I'd have missed out on any America-only updates, and Sakurai
knows that not everyone who checks the Dojo comes here.
there WILL be at least a DECENT, or an update mentioning Christmas
(or no update at all?? >.>) on Christmas day!
