No, just a fake leak that says Falco will be revealed this week if it's true. If said leak is true, K. Rool is a stage boss, Mewtwo and Shulk are playable. and Lucas is cut.

YAY! I'M SO HAPPY! Bowser Jr. is in the game in some form. His bib! This may be the most I see of the Koopa Prince, but it's better than nothing at all.

It's nice to see that Sakurai only waited two weeks after E3 for us to be finally getting back to seeing genuinely new stuff instead of waiting until July. Not a bad week so far considering they could have easily just recycled E3 info for another month if they had wanted to.

Those reveals wouldn't surprise me at all. A fan who only tuned into some/little of the E3 invitational and Treehouse Live and didn't/couldn't attend Smash Fest wouldn't know about those ATs. This makes them at least somewhat more useful of a picture than things out of the Smash Direct which had a link to it on the main site anyways.

I don't get this. Why do people expect Lucas cut and Falco ok? Falco is just as much a clone as Lucas. Personally, I don't want or expect either to be cut.

Partially because Falco has seniority.
Partially because Lucas's one and only appearance was in a Japan only game.
Partially because MOTHER is finished, though Lucas detractors usually use the word "dead franchise" instead.
Partially because Falco is more popular than Lucas.
Partially because Star Fox is bigger than MOTHER.

Some or all of the above reasons. As for me, I want both of them in. While I don't personally use Falco, the backlash for his removal would be ridiculous, and MOTHER 3 is an amazing game and everyone who hasn't played it should. I don't use Lucas as much as I used to, but it would be sad seeing him gone.

Falco has been in 2 Smash games, is from a franchise that is getting a reboot in the near future, and is a popular character. Lucas has been in only one Smash game, is from an effectively dead series, and in my experience, seems to be slightly less popular than the other MOTHER kid, Ness.
I want both of them back as well, but there's more reason to cut Lucas over any other clone/semi-clone.

Don't get me wrong, I love the MOTHER games, but I use the term "dead" for pretty much any franchise that hasn't seen the light of day in a while.
Also MOTHER 3 is viewed with a lot of vitriol in most Japanese internet communities and hasn't seen an official western release, so weather it's either finished or dead is debatable.

It's finished; after releasing MOTHER 3, Shigesato Itoi, the creator of the series, said he had no plans to make a 4th game.
Last I checked, 2ch isn't exactly the nicest place on the internet, and I'm willing to get the game has just as many Japanese fans as it does haters.

Wasn't aware he said that.
And true, 2ch isn't exactly the best place, but there has always been a cultural split, take Little Mac and the entire Metroid series for example. But maybe I'm just wrong, like I usually am.

Considering that this is the last Friday in the month, and we have gotten new information that was not at E3, a character reveal isn't unlikely... but we know if there is one, it'll be :gw:

It'll be a picture of Luigi's nose with the caption that makes a bunch of people cry.

His really hard hitting captions make me laugh all the time. As well as the ones that are like strange narrations about his life.
