...I still find it kinda funny how it translates as "One piece today.""One piece today. They appear in the U Mario World stage, Totten. I can not see, but, what is inside the bag and then or was Luigi"
Think he might be a stage hazard.
Hmm, yeah. I like reading about what the updates might mean for the competitive scene and from a gameplay/competitive point of view, even though I'm not a competitive kind of player.I love your eloquent posts.
NOBODY EXPECTS NABBIT.That stage was pretty much the perfect stage already and already had a lot going on so a new mechanic for it that wasn't in the demo is really not welcome. Hopefully he's as crazy telegraphed and generally reasonable as everything else in that stage; I really would be extremely upset if such an insanely good stage (seriously, strong contender for best stage in the series) were damaged by an 11th hour addition.
Pretty sure I thought he did.I feel like people are going to end up going to go all "Yellow Devil" about this and insist that there's a chance Nabbit isn't a stage hazard because Sakurai didn't specifically spell it out. Nabbit is a Mario character. This is a Mario stage. Sakurai says he appears on the stage. Nabbit is a stage hazard. Occam's razor guys.
Anyway, Nabbit showing up is cool (I've always liked him) It's funny, a little while back someone suggested having Nabbit kidnap people as an AT, and I said that "we already have someone for that" in the form of TAC, who does that in Kirby Super Star. Turns out both of them ended up in the game.
It's functionally identical to the English post. I'd write a translation but I'd basically translate it the same as how the miiverse translator did, lol.Preferably by someone who can read Japanese, that isn't Google Translate...
I like it when Sakurai does his thing. He should do it more often and makes us all happy so we can sleep good at night.Sakurai doing his thing, you know?
he's disconfirmed, he can't possibly fit within the sackI think it's that time of the day when we contemplate what the update means for Ridley.
Because everything is linked to Ridley...
Everything...
Not with that attitude.he's disconfirmed, he can't possibly fit within the sack
His sack has always had that mushroom symbol.I wonder if the series symbol on the bag changes depending on who is inside, or if it is always the Mario symbol. It would be a neat touch, though it could be a lot of work for little reward. Either way, Nabbit is pretty awesome so I'm happy with this update. The stage seems pretty crazy now though, with all the other hazards, and now Nabbit showing up.
Bowser also disconfirmed.he's disconfirmed, he can't possibly fit within the sack
Zelda has shown us that 1 purple character can appear.I think it's that time of the day when we contemplate what the update means for Ridley.
Because everything is linked to Ridley...
Everything...
Well thats quite the coincidence. His sack has always had that mushroom symbol.

The water spouts and icicles have massive tells you probably didn't notice. Water floods the background well before the water spouts begin to rise, and there are large water drops that fall from the ceiling before the icicles fall. That later effect is very hard to see on 30 fps low resolution videos like most of what's on the internet for smash 4 since the water drops are semi-transparent, but playing in person, it's a ridiculously obvious and extremely lengthy tell. The icicles also don't really do a lot if they do hit you (being frozen in smash is seriously just about the least punishing possible way to be hit) so they are seriously such a non-factor; they definitely matter less than the hazards on Halberd which is saying a lot.I will add that him being a stage hazard on a already busy stage is kind of odd. Love the way he functions, but hopefully the stage is either a little less chaotic then it was at E3 or Nabbit is very rare. I would much rather it be the former. That stage has a awesome concept but the water spouts and massive ice sickles that are entirely random need to be altered to show up on their respected transformations. Then Nabbit showing up now and again to kidnap someone won't be to crazy.
"You can't see him, but Luigi is inside Nabbit's bag."I think it's that time of the day when we contemplate what the update means for Ridley.
Because everything is linked to Ridley...
Everything...
At least this time the stage was already full of hazards...Oh, Nabbit. Yep, every stage has its hazard.
I like it.
Zelda has shown us that 1 purple character can appear.
Waluigi showed us it was possible for 2 purple characters to appear.
Nabbit has shown us that 3 purple characters can coexist.
Ridley could be the fourth purple character.
Illuminati has three sides.
4-3=1
Illuminati has one eye.
Ridley is Illuminati confirmed.
(Genesect and Palkia are purple too, but you're gonna be called out for making such stupid arguments against Ridley.)![]()
I'm hoping the appearance rate of Yellow Devil was boosted for the demo to ensure that everyone got to see it in their 2 minute match. As long as he is rare and not intrusive like the Yellow Devil it'll be fine.
Time really flies. Hard to believe these daily pictures have been going for a year.Updated! I just realized I've been running this thread for over a year now! Time flies. Thanks for the support, y'all. Huge thanks to the staff, too (especiallyMario & Sonic Guy [/user]), for helping me through some rough spots with the thread, and for creating he new one. A lot has changed in a year!
