The nice thing about this E3, is that while we got a ton of gameplay, I honestly don't feel like we got that much 'new' content outside of the reveals, thus I am hopeful Sakurai won't dedicate a month to E3 rehash like he did with the April direct.

I wouldn't compare the Ridley thing with G&W to be honest. The Ridley shadow was more or less giving Ridley fans the middle finger. G&W was a tease.

Yeah really, if his appearance in the video wasn't enough, the re-design cemented it.
They're not going to redesign a character as basic as Mr. Gam & Watch just for a cameo in a trailer.

You sure it's a redesign? G&W certainly didn't need one and it doesn't look any better. I assume it was just a doodle for the joke. They wouldn't wanna reveal his actual model yet, right? They'll wanna keep him looking the same, true to Smash Bros and Game&Watch games. He'll be unlockable, no need to worry. They just wanted to use him for a joke. I know that means he's all but confirmed and it's ganna bug people, but... I dunno, it really shouldn't be that big of a bother. Ya know they're in so that should be good enough. But who knows, maybe we'll see him tomorrow if Reggie said there'd be more smash.

That G&W actually looks more like the G&W from actual Game and Watch games than the traditional smash one. It's clearly a new 3d model as well... in the sense that G&W has ever had a 3d model. It would be very surprising if that weren't just a new G&W look.

This is all trivial, of course. What we really need to see is how the new G&W uses turtle. Nothing else truly matters.

As it turns out, Sakurai IS actually Namco. The entire company was just a Facade, everything that comes out of it is all Sakurai's doing.
He's like The Illuminati of the video game industry.
