Hey everyone, I'm here to advertise the Michigan Upper Peninsula Smash scene! There was a thread a while back advertising the scene, but it's inactive and the information is outdated: https://smashboards.com/threads/michigan-upper-peninsula-smash.429293/
So the UP contains a small but active scene - the "major" hubs are Houghton/Hancock and Marquette - and there are players in regions outside of those hotspots.
Houghton/Hancock
During the school year, Smash Club at Michigan Tech hosts weekly meetings every Sunday night, from 6pm-10pm - alternating each week (example: Melee week 1, Ultimate week 2, Melee week 3, etc.) along with special events and tournaments that happen about once a month. SSB64 and Project M are also hosted occasionally.

Marquette
The Smash Club at Northern Michigan University has unfortunately died down, but there are a few people who are left over. However, a new organization has arose, known as Push Button, Receive Combo - and is a group dedicated to general FGC games, which includes Smash. They have meetings on Saturdays during the school year, and also usually have monthly tournaments. NMU Esports also runs Smash Ultimate (not very many other games unfortunately) - with free play nights on Saturdays from 6-8 and competitive tournaments on Monday nights at 7.
