I did a strange but if it´s possible to recreate, a very effective gimp with MK against (lol) link a few weeks ago.
It basicly seems like some sort of "ledgecancelled" dashgrab > footstool
Is that common knowledge but is to situational or is there a possiblility I might have found something that might be one of MKs craziest gimps up until now?

Atleast I´ve got it recorded but I´m only able to send the videofile direcly from my brawl to another players wii/brawl since I´ve not got an SD card.

You can't borrow an SD card from a friend?

If you can get a hold of one, send me the .bin replay file. I have a feeling that I know what you're talking about.

Well, not really, and I would also need an adapter to the computer for it to work either way.
You don´t have the wii connected to wifi?
Adding FCs for the brawl and wii, sending the data and removing the FCs could work.

Basically, the landing lag will always be 35 frames. If you fall for 25 frames, then you will suffer 10 frames of lag upon landing. If you fall for 10 frames, there will be 25 frames landing lag. If you fall from higher, MK will suffer 35 frames of landing lag NO MATTER how long you fell for.

Also smasher89 what character was it against? Because you can dashgrab some characters off the edge and Nair them instantly. Maybe you can actually footstool them aswell :)

Is C-sticking aerials important with Metaknight? Most Melee players C-stick aerials but I haven't seen much talk about this in Brawl.

No problem, and I know you can run off the edge with a running grab->nair against Dedede, but I'm not sure about ness or lucas.

About dimensional cape, since metaknight's hurtbox is completely gone during, does that mean he can't die if he uses dimensional cape while past the blast zone? If you did the IDC as you were flying offstage to teleport closer to the stage, would you die?

What are good setups to land D-smashes and F-smashes? I'm suck of losing to DK's with god tier DI who live to 180%, but I die at 100%

1. i have my R set as special.

when i shuttle loop out of shield. i jump then up R simultaneously.
(tap jump off)
is it as fast as if i had tap jump on and just pressed up and B out of shield?
there shouldn't be any difference assuming i'm pressing everything simultaneously?

2. to cancel the lag of a glide can you just press 'jump' at the same height as glide attack cancel as well to cancel the lag?

3. i recall reading something where mew2king mentioned if you dash to roll dodge it gets abit more distance? how?

4. what are applications for spot dodges and roll dodges for mk? i'm told perfect shielding is a better option.

5. how do you DI out of snakes nair and whats the best way to punish it?

6. is there seperate move diminish rates for the front and back of d-smash?

7. when wario has his waft charged/half charged, what changes in your play style can you do to avoid it or atleast minimize the chances of being wafted.

8. what are mk's weaknesses?

thanks.

What are some good situations to fastfall Metaknight's aerials? I can't seem to incorporate this technique in my gameplay. ):

Does anyone have any good ways of practicing other than just serious friendlies?

Im already planning on working on tricks to do on CP stages, and I think I might have a little contest with my partner. We made a list of ATs for reference so that we incorporate everything we can into our game, and im thinking we will keep a running tally throughout the night of AT uses. Loser buys winner some sort of food.

Something other than 'work on fundamentals/spacing/etc.' or 'work on reading your opponent/baiting/conditioning/etc.' would be nice.

Regardless of what you said, do you wanna improve your DK with mine? I'm considering to main him. Meta just isn't for me- he's too boring for me imo

Just wondering what's Metaknights most reliable move against snake. I'm thinking it's prob. Fair. Someone state which one is more reliable or concur with me if I'm actually right. Just trying to find out what move should I use more when I do play this match up.
