I've been looking for a smash melee scene in MI, anyone know anything?

Have you tried searching for groups on Facebook? In South Carolina some of the names look like SC Smash, SC Melee, Charlotte Smash, NC Smash. So maybe try something like those, you might get something.

There is a pinned thread called "facebook groups" in the general melee discussion section, if you haven't looked into it, it seems pretty comprehensive.
