Megaman VS Bomberman Vs Pacman <THE ULTIMATE 3rd PARTY DEBATE>

It would be great if we had all the great 3rd parties, but alas.... it is not a perfect world

Who knows? Maybe we could. I'm not betting on it, but I ain't saying its impossible. xD

I'd like Bomberman the most, because I have played some games of him and liked them.

I have nothing against Megaman or Pacman though. They're cool too, but I just never played any Megaman games. And from Pacman only the arcade one.

Though, i don't mind 3 third party characters and my third choice is Megaman. I think it'd be cool if he was like kirby in the respect that after you KO a character you absorb a part of their power.... but only for that round.

You can easily avoid this problem by adding 3rd party characters who actually deserve to be in a Nintendo Allstars-Game. Characters like Mega Man or Simon Belmont, who both had started their "careers" on the NES should be in Super Smash Brothers Brawl! Hands down. Did we even care which characters were 3rd party and who weren't back then? We loved them anyways. Because they were unique characters and their games where fun as hell.

When I read such crazy suggestions like Rayman, Sephiroth or Klonoa, my stomach begins to hurt.

megaman and bomberman have been around forever ON A NINTENDO SYSTEM, so it won't be like "dang 3rd parties" they are intendo all stars in my book.

Pacman is a huge gaming icon.... I can't recall a single good game on any nintendo system...

bomberman and pacman have each had at least 1 good game.

My final choice is definitely Mega Man. His games were my favorites on the NES, and I still play them today via the Anniversary Collection from the Gamecube. Him + Sonic + Mario + Link = everything I loved about video games in my childhood. It'd be sheer nostalgic ecstasy for me if all four were in the same kick-*** game together.

Bomber Man and Pac Man are good choices too though, don't get me wrong - given more spots, I'd pick them in a heartbeat. They're just not up to the Blue Bomber's level in my eyes.

Realistically, I think Megaman and Pacman have the higher chances. And out of those two, I definitely choose Pacman.

seriously, Bomberman would be a horrible character, since he only does one thing. The argument can to an extent also be used on Olimar, but at least he's Nintendo, so I'd be fine with him getting in. Pacman would be impossible to design (how would he grab, double jump, or dodge? unless you want to use the unpopular 3d version...just no) and megaman being in brawl would almost ruin the game for me. I'd eventually get used to it by just removing him from all tournies and whatnot, and just ignoring him on the char select screen, but he's literally my most hated suggestion for brawl. for the love of god, don't put megaman in brawl!

of course, I was completely against the addition of 3rd parties in the first place, but let's at least have good ones if we must have them.

Hold up here - a character with literally hundreds of different weapons at his disposal in his own games would only use one? How does that work? Thats like saying Link would only use his sword or Samus would only use her beam canon. Its not logical, not practical, and not at all realistic. Honestly, that makes me question whether you even know anything about Mega Man outside of his name and appearance.

"A" Mega Man game? Only one? Which one? There are many of them, and many differ from each other extremely. Like Mario, Mega Man has over 100 games to his name, and they span many different genres and vary greatly in quality.

Pacman= He works well with Nintendo while also having a 3-D form already....

Megaman= I don't think he has a good relation ship with Nintendo... But awsome character with a good reference of a 3-D form.

Bomberman= Works ok with Nintnedo, awsome fighter and a simpler 3-D form.

You're mistaken, then. Capcom and Nintendo work quite closely on a variety of games (Mega Man, Ace Attorney, Resident Evil, Zack & Wiki), and Mega Man in particular has always been very close to Nintendo, with many of his games being Nintendo-exclusive (classic Mega Man 1-7 on the NES and SNES, Mega Man & Bass on the GBA, Mega Man X 1-3, the entire Battle Network, Zero, and Star Force series, and others).

Well I might as well throw my two cents in here.

Personally....(puts up anti flame shield) I really don't think Megaman should be in. The major reason is that I fear that he will be too cloney...however I am very open to the possiblilty of there being a varied, original moveset and I won't complain if he's in I just don't think he would make the best fit.

On the other hand I really really think that Bomberman would make a really good fit he just seems like a character that the boys at Nintendo could go to town on a great moveset and I could see that he would be a fun character to play so I think Bombs would make the best choice of the three.


Alright...Pacman.....I am uber against him being in brawl UNLESS he is an assist trophy. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to guess what said Assist Trophy would do and I think there is just a lovely novelty to the giant pixelated yellow circle the size of Andross with the pie piece missing going across the screen chomping on you opponents. But yeah yes you can make Pacman punch and kick but it just doesn't work for him, he bites and that's what he's known for doing a feesable moveset just doesn't seem reachable unless you did some hardcore tweaking to him.


So in conclusion

1st: Bomberman
2nd: Megaman
3rd: Pacman
