Megaman VS Bomberman Vs Pacman <THE ULTIMATE 3rd PARTY DEBATE>

I have come to the conclusion that one of these guys and only one is gonna make it so will it be the...

the blue bomber.... MEGAMAN
pros: much popularity
okay relations with Nintendo
Original moveset
cons: none spring to much to mind....

or will we have the

the one the only.... BOMBERMAN
pros: decent popularity
great relations with Nintendo (same people who do Mario Party)
Original moveset
cons: none either....

So what do you all think? Me i PERSONALLY hope for bomberman (always liked his games better) but Megaman has an equal chance, if not better.

Well let the debate begin!!

Edit: Due to a much unexpected response from pacman fans i have decided to include him into the debate as well!

I prefer Bomberman. I love his games much better than Megaman's.

Do we really need to turn this into a debate? Hypothetically speaking, Mega Man's inclusion would have no bearing whatsoever on Bomberman's inclusion and vice versa, as both come from different third-party developers. Contrary to popular belief, Sakurai did NOT set a quota with his infamous "One more, maybe two" more third-party characters in Brawl statement. Samurai Panda, the very person who translated the Toukouken entries, said so himself. It was merely a ballpark estimate, nothing more. What really is the determining factor if either character makes it into Brawl is whether or not Capcom and Hudson Soft approached Sakurai and negotiated to have their characters included. I don't want for there to be any hostilities to erupt between the Mega Man and Bomberman supporters, as there is no need for any to begin with.

I dunno, Megaman's final smash wouldn't seem as good as a giant bomb or multiple mini bombs falling from the sky... XP

I've always liked Bomberman, the game, better than the original Mega Man games, but I've always liked Mega Man better as a character, so I would prefer him over Bomberman.

Bomberman 64 was the first bomberman game i ever played, and i loved it. megaman is cool but you just can't beat blowing stuff up with bombs all the time.

sadly due to popularity, megaman looks like a good chance.... I have yet to see any supporters here though

Again, I don't think that either character is not in any real competition with each other in any way. But if I had to choose, I definitely lean more toward Bomberman. Realistically speaking though, Mega Man is much more likely to be included.

I actually think Megaman is both more popular AND has better chances, but then there's the issue of WHICH Megaman they should put in, as there's several choices, from Classic Megaman to Megaman.EXE.
If they put Bomberman in, they wouldn't have to think about what form a lot, as he only has 1 as far as I know, but I do think it's slightly harder to come up with a moveset for him.

If I had to choose it'd be Bomberman. Why? He's awesome.

Also I've never played any Megaman games...

In all honesty though: Pac-Man FTW! Also, I have the gut feeling we're not getting anymore third party characters. :D

Yeah, but chances are low for both of them to make it in. Capcom and Hudson both have to approve the characters to be used in the game, and then they have to make the models, movesets, regular movements, maybe parts in the SSE story, etc. Not to mention some Assist Trophies, one or two stages, theme music and maybe some items to put in the game from their series.

so in that case, pretty much every new character has a very low chance then?

..yeah good point. But what I'm trying to say is that Nintendo is free to put anything in from their own stuff, but have to ask the 3rd parties for permission to put a specific thing in there, and those 3rd parties may be hard players, if you know what I mean.

I thought the same when I read that. ^^ But anyways: This argument simply doesn't work. Mega Man and / or Bomberman are "done". They just aren't revealed yet. The decision to include or not include them was made at least some months ago.

Yeah, if they're in the game, they probably are fully completed already. Or maybe one of the companies contacted Nintendo for their character, and had them include the character a little on the late side, which explains the delay? I dunno, just speculating..

What about Pac-Man? I'd choose Bomberman, bit it'd be nice to see both plus the Pacster. I mean, who doesn't want to see Pac-Man and Mario duke it out?

On topic, both characters would be easy to acquire the rights to, but if we're going by who's on better terms with the big N, Pac-Man would own both of them. If we're going on popularity, then Megaman would own them both. If we're going by a more original and creative moveset, Bomberman would win hands down. So, you decide!

Who says all of them can't make it in?

I think Megaman has better chances, but only because it is his 20th anniversary, and this would be a big hit for the people in Capcom to utilize as sort of his 20th milestone. Megaman also originated on a Nintendo console and was one of those pioneer series.

Bomberman's chances are up there too, Hudson and Nintendo have been working closely together since Mario Party One. His games go way back, and he's had pretty much every one on a Nintendo console.

I can see both being added.

well according to what sakuri, we are only getting "1 or 2 more". I thought that bomberman and megaman had the best chances which i made a thread about which one was better

that was an estimate made by sakurai. He was only guessing. there will be more 3rd parties than that. I guarantee it.

any way because there is so much pacman support to i will try to update this thread to include pacster to.... but only if this dosn't turn into another general 3rd party debate....

Lets see, he has 4 votes on Sakurais poll while MM only has two and its kinda wierd that Ike, Diddy, and DeeDee had 4 votes and got in yeah wierd isn't it?

Weird how one game and some poll can possibly give you more chances than a gaming icon? Seriously, Geno is a good character, but gaming icon? No. Mario RPG was a good game, but compared to the other 3 who have had multiple games in the past and still have some today....cmon! Not to mention all 3 of those characters you mentioned that got in the game with 4 votes aren't considered 3rd Party. So Duh they'd get in.
