Quick shoutouts:

Thanks for hosting. If you guys can afford more TVs (I heard on the intercom you guys didn't use more due to power concerns), I had 4, as well as two setups, I could've contributed.

If I knew it was bracket pools for singles I would've entered. Big mistake on my part.

Arian: Must be nice to compete w/o needing to run a tournament!

Sheridan: <3 teammate. Our result overstates our skill imo -- Larry and Lucky completely bodied us; we are not even sniffing that tier of skill level -- but we were clearly better than every team we beat imo.

By the way, the bracket is incorrect: The team that beat us in Winners was Stabbed/KikoMePlease. They 2-1ed us (completely bodied G3). But then we heard they got DQed (although we were still in Losers).

Our double Sheik is mad good. Sheik/Fox needs work. We are gonna keep putting in work, though! Come at us SoCal! A rookie/Khepri, we need a $5 MM next time!

Kiko: Your Fox is getting mad good. We really need to play. You're one of the only players on my skill tier who I am scared of.

Alex/DSF: Dude you are incredible at this game! Those friendlies were the highlight of my tournament. Amazing dash dancing and spacing. You adapt so quickly. If Sheridan doesn't mind I would love to team with you at the next Mayhem.

Max Shen: ;)

A rookie: All your characters are mad good. Dunno how you get so much mileage off of reads; you kept kneeing me in the face off incredible reads.

Jace: Awww, you're intimidated by Sheikums!

Blonde kid, Peach/Fox team construction: Good ish on earning the right to play us. You guys have potential. Best team construction to work with, too. We were very focused and determined to dispatch you, but you guys put up a good fight.

Eric L: Your Falco is mad good, we gotta play more!

Psychomidget: Biggest regret: not playing you. So solid, so fun to play, and amazing in teams to boot. Nice seeing you.

S2J: I'll money match you if I have to in order to bust out tournament Johnny.

Okami: I am making it a point to stalk you and play you a lot. You're (no offense) slightly better than me and are amazing at not getting hit. Really like your Fox. Love how you don't sandbag against anyone.

Saiko, JPegimage, Shaqfu, JoeJoe, SacaSuMoto, other players ~ my skill level: Sad we didn't money match. DSF took up a lot of my time =P. Especially you, JoeJoe. Your Sheik is superb at zoning. Your set v Lucky at the last SSS was sick.

Andymosity, Jonathan S, IE Peach, IE Jigglypuff, Garrett, anyone else who I vibed with wrt improving and setting up a smashfest: Good ish. Steel sharpens steel. You guys have sick potential and I want to keep playing with you all.

Brandandorf: Our 5 sets of $5 money matches is coming soon =P.

Mike Haze: Good **** on being clutch.

Hungrybox: No offense but you didn't do anything to discredit the notion that you are smug. Lol @ trying to skip the rotation line. What is this, high school? Waiting is all part of the experience.

I waited to play Okami, with no guarantee that I would win. I might lose and have to wait another four matches. Kind of sucks and kind of rules. Makes the sets more intense. Forces you to interact with people you normally wouldn't.

Connor: You're amazing and I can't wait for you to pwn me. I'll money match your Peach and Fox, $2 apiece, with my Fox and Sheik.

Kevin: We never got our mms :(. Excited to see how much you improve in the near future.

Danny: You know what's up. Thanks.

Hugs: One day I'll be ready to money match you. I don't vibe with you/Lucky/Gabe/etc. as much as I should cuz you guys are amazing and I can learn a lot from you.

Joey, I dunno how you are so consistent. You might have the best non-Mango Fox v Falco game in the world. Since that is my worst matchup, please bless me with your sage wisdom, lol.

To anyone else I played: 'twas fun. Thanks for hosting McCain, thanks for helping run the tournament Jenny/Connor/Mike/etc, thanks for commentating Squid, thanks for the friendlies and money matches everyone. And thanks to anyone who beat us, cuz I remember every loss and use it as motivation.

Does anyone know what happened that caused there to be such a HUGE turnout this time? I've never been in a room with so many people in my life!

Tourney was super fun and a huge eye-opener. I realized how scrubby I am and I want to reinvent how I Smash.

Thanks to all the people I played with or against for the fun matches.

knowing this pisses me off even more. those 2 jerkwads either bought someones spot i the bracket or took a teams spot when they didn't show up or something. they did it twice as far as i know, i stopped them the first time. i was so upset i banned them from singles.

i understand people doing that at national level tourneys like MLG when it doesn't really affect the outcome and you take over someone's spot who can't go at the risk of being found out (but won't be cause not run by the community), but taking over a spot at a local when you had a good chance of getting top 3 is just disgusting. especially when you try to sneak it past me like i won't find out sooner or later

Why does it bug you so much? I mean, yeah, I don't know anything about the situation, so I have no comment. They didn't say anything? Why didn't they? Are you sure they were trying to be shady or was it just a miscommunication? Did they pay the $10 to enter?

To be honest I chalked it up as terrible seeding, but as far as tourny experience go, it didn't affect me at all. Was actually kinda cool getting knocked into losers and having to play so many matches.

In the end, lol them. They are a sick team and they might've bopped us if we met in LF or w/e. Me going Fox G3 was not a good decision lol.

wtf @ joejoe losing to jpeg to not make bracket. goddamn it.
Sheik v Falcon is even yo (55/45 worst case)

Harsh words man. We simply bought a willing team's spot in the bracket cuz we both really wanted to play doubles; nothing shady. I mean, hey, it probably wasn't a good idea to go against you saying "no" to us, but you weren't exactly trying to be reasonable about it when we asked! In the end we were just two guy really excited to see how far we could take our teamwork. DQing me out of singles was also a bit cruel and unusual lol

imo you over-reacted but w/e, I forgive you!

To be fair, MacD was running a 317 man tournament in one day. You're not really doing him favors by doing this. If it were a normal Mayhem, I'm sure he would have been much more flexible to accommodate you guys.

Buying your way into bracket (or replacing an existing entrant's spot) after seeding has taken place is stupid. It shouldn't ever be allowed, and I respect MacD's decision to DQ you from singles because of that.

Sorry that was a minor glitch. I had been given an outdated sheet and didn't realize my bracket was different from the posted bracket you see on challonge. Everything worked out though as around losers round 5 everything synced back up.

Also kind of a funny thing just throwing it out there is the team stab impersonated showed up to play their losers matches.

Thanks MacD for hosting. I'll try and making it for the next one but no guarantees while school is going on
