Thinking of getting the adapter for PC so I can play Melee netplay w/ GameCube controller. Anyone know what kind of quality it produces? I.E. Lag, button inputs etc.

I just got mine last weekend, and I can say it's pretty much like playing on Game Cube, as in it's amazing. Make sure you adjust settings for the stick and the L & R buttons. It can be tricky at first but after 10 minutes or so you'll have your controller good to go.

BME how long have you been playing this game? No disrespect, but I've seen your videos on YouTube vs CPUs, and yeah...

That being said, there is some lag. When I first got it I used a wave bird and it forced me to get a regular controller. Its definitely playable though and it beats using an Xbox controller or something.

Would you mind sharing the controller settings you use in Dolphin?

i bought a mayflash dual port adapter and it works fine. if you wanna use both controllers you'll have to mess with the settings more
but i've been using it for probably close to a year now with very few problems. and i play on netplay almost daily..

I've been playing this seriously online for about 1 week. Ive had the game for many years, so I have a general idea of how the controller feels. I don't see what relevance my skill has on my opinion on this subject, but if you want to guage me, you can match me online at the smashboards chat under the handle itsbme.

Sure thing! I have the radius for both sticks set to 100. I have the thresholds set to 50. You might want to ask around though in the chat as well, because my settings for threshold could be questionable, as I just got this adapter. Hope that helps!
