INTRO:
SD Melee proudly presents the sequel to one of SoCal's most iconic tournaments. Back in San Diego with a bigger house, Pat's House 2 boasts an 11,000 sqft venue with a 20 ft projector for hyped matches all day long.

RULESET:

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
- Singles -
Round Robin Pools 1:
24 pools of 7-8. Top 3 player from each pool will advance into the next Round Robin.

Round Robin Pools 2:
72 players split into 8 pools of 9. Top 4 players from each pool will advanced into the pro bracket.

Singles Pro Bracket:
32-man double elimination tournament with seeds determined by pool placement from the 2nd Round Robin.

11:00 AM - Doors Open
11:30 AM - Set up & Warm up
12:30 PM - Doubles Pools
02:30 PM - R1 Singles Pools
06:00 PM - SoCal vs NorCal Crews
07:00 PM - R2 Singles Pools
10:00 PM - Venue Closes

- Sunday -
10:00 AM - Doors Open / Warm Ups
11:00 AM - R2 Singles Pools Cont. (If necessary)
12:00 PM - Doubles Bracket (Top 16)
03:30 PM - Doubles Grand Finals
03:30 PM - Singles Bracket (Top 32)
07:30 PM - Singles Grand Finals
08:30 PM - Tear down & Clean up
09:30 PM - Leave
10:00 PM - Venue Closes

So I imagine doubles will be spread across two, not one, days?

See, this is an expensive ($30) tournament, but unlike SCR, I have full faith that the venue is sickwitit and the TO will run things with efficiency.

And, most importantly, it's Melee-exclusive! (Right?)

I'll be there with 3-4 TVs and a GameCube.

Also @ shadrach kabango , this is the same venue that has been used for Winter Game Fest for the past 5+ years, which I'd guess you might have attended before.

Today is the very last day to pay for PH2. If a payment is not received by 11:59:59 PM tonight, you will not be entered in the tournament.
NO EXCEPTIONS.

If you have not paid yet, search your email box for "Venmo" to find instructions for completing the payment. If you cannot find the email, contact SanDiegoSSBM@gmail.com and a staff member will assist you as soon as possible.
A registration list will be posted after all payments are received. Don't wanna post a list of "no-shows" to build unnecessary hype.
