Stage striking process:
First stage in a set is chosen from the bottom row of Neutral stages
Players decide who gets to strike first, usually through Rock, Paper, Scissors
Player to strike first strikes first stage. Next strikes 2, then 2, then 1. Pattern: 1 / 2 / 2 / 1
This leaves one neutral stage left
Counter pick process:
Winner chooses character and bans one stage (from Neutral/CP List)
Loser chooses character
Loser chooses stage
“Dave’s Stupid Rule”: Players may not counter pick a stage they previously won on in the same set.
Top row of stages is banned, but players may any stage they AGREE UPON.
Notes
Players are on the honor system, and are responsible to know the rules. Staff cannot referee every match. Questions are welcome.
