Matchup Chart Project 2015 - Calling Mii Gunner Mains!

Hello Mii Gunner boards,

I'm Zareidriel. Over in this thread a guy called Assassannerr made a matchup chart, and asked people to help fill it out. It seems like it would be a cool thing to have. With once glance you could have a rough idea of a matchup. It won't be perfect, but for our first go at it in 2015 we're aiming for "somewhat functional."

So here's what I'm going to do. Go to every Character Discussion board, and ask the folks there if they wouldn't mind contributing. To submit one vote, you'll have to fill out one of these:

Mark each character with a + for a match where Mii Gunner HAS THE ADVANTAGE
Mark each character with a - for a match where Mii Gunner HAS THE DISADVANTAGE
Mark each character with a number 0 for a match you feel is very even.

NOTE THAT I AM ONLY TAKING VOTES FROM MEMBERS WITH Mii Gunner IN THEIR PROFILE BAR. It can be as either "Wii U Main" or "3DS Main". But if Mii Gunner is in neither one of those slots when I count the votes on Friday, Nov 13, it won't be counted.

(Yes, for the avid democrats out there, that means you can vote for one other character as well.)

Like I said, they won't be perfect, and each board will probably be a little biased toward their own respective character. But the results should be interesting regardless.

If this thing is successful maybe we'll do a revised version in 2016.

Do you want a matchup chart for default gunner, Gunner with custom moves, or both

Edit: By default gunner I meant 1111 guest size gunner. I play in an area that is against miis. (I get some backlash from players when using 1111 guest size gunner).

Use whichever one you personally play more often, or feel is more legitimate. I'm not going to make a hard rule about something I dont know anything about.

You are right that 1111 guest size gunner is not default, but it still should be posted in order to discuss the matchup with the other boards that used 1111 gunner.

Matchup chart for guest size gunner (If anyone has any dispute with my chart, I am willing to discuss it with them). The first sign is for 1111, and the second sign is for 3312 (Gunner's best moveset) if it changes the matchup outcome.

It's alright, they are still talking Matchup charts for characters with less than 5 charts.

Being tied with San for best Mii Gunner in the US(possibly the world for us). I'll put my MU knowledge down. I've gotten the luxury to use Mii Gunner against many high and top level players at touenammets. I will be doing 3312 Guest size Gunner.

I've been waiting for someone to ask that!

To be honest, mostly just for fun, and to agonize people that it would bother because it is a pointless gesture.

But also as a shorthand for "note to self" and to mark the character as one where I should have the vote tallies somewhere in my personal files; rather than in private messages, in the case where another Smashboards user sent me the tallies for a character.

Eyyyy lmao. So, anyone else ever use bomb drop on shields? I think we have some great potential to do some Samus stuff.

It's a pretty popular thing to do, shield breaking is a huge thing Gunner w/ Special Move freedom can do.

I wouldn't know, don't see many Gunner players out there, this is why banning Miis from online play was a terrible idea on their part. Like it or not, For Glory hugely develops metas.

We really need them to have some knowledges of the character.

***Very bad: These are doable, but the MU is extremely difficult against people, who master these characters.

-Falco(great close frame data, good off stage gimps, and entended reflector destroys our projectiles).
-Palutena(Relect literally destroys so much of our character. Forces us to play very aggro. Her backair is very annoying vs us).
-Fox(Super speedy, combos us for days, and can reflect when needed).
-Mario(Same as Fox, only more annoying)
-Rosalina(Wall who can aborb our stuff)

-Dr. Mario(reflect and can easily gimp us with Dr, Tornado near the ledge)
-Sheik(Sheik stuff lol)
-Game n Watch(Can easily bucket our lazers, charge shot, grenades, etc)
-Ness(Can aborb lazers, CS, and grenades. Combos us for days and can spam pk thunder on us offstage).

What matchup ratio would you put on these matchups? I would probably put Game and Watch and Ness in a different tier because they are considerably easier than Dr. Mario and Sheik.

Game and Watch seems pretty even when played properly by both sides, because Game and Watch's bucket is much weaker when it is filled by weaker projectiles. I have played many matches against a Game and Watch that is at my skill level, and I have been able to win with 1111 Gunner (which is worse for this matchup 3312 Gunner) by using my weaker projectiles more often. Ness is also not bad for 3312 Gunner because he only gains 1% from absorbing grenade or bomb, and missile cannot be absorbed. Down throw to fair isn't guaranteed for Ness against Gunner at mid percents or higher. I have escaped down throw to fair at lower than 40% and it stops working completely at 70%.
