Making low res map versions for Dolphin netplay?

Guys is there any way to do this? A lot of people have trouble playing Dolphin netplay because their PC's aren't up to date. Fountain of Dreams is the computer killer for most, I believe it's because of the reflection shader at the floor combined with the random stray objects on the map that makes it difficult to run.

If someone is good at map editing we could make low res version of fountain of dreams, and other maps as well. Please reply if you have any idea if this can be done.

thx

Alternatively, the developers of dolphin could add an option to disable reflections. There're already a lot of advanced graphics options and it would make sense to cater to their largest audience.

If you were to change anything at all in melee, it would cause desyncs. Both players would need the same version for it to work properly. I know Project M made a "Community Build" that some people use that removes a lot of lag due to a lighter load. I'm unsure if people in the Melee community would use it, as I'm not even sure if the PM version was a large success.
