Magnet float bug

So I was messing around with Ness the other day when I found something weird with Ness's magnet. So you know how ness gets one mag in midair that allows him to float a sec before falling. However, if Ness does a standing mag then JCs it, it counts as an aerial mag so I lost the float. I ended up losing a match because of this specific bug. Is this on purpose to make his sheild pressure worse, or is this unknown and should be patched?

Seems like something that shouldn't be.

I'm not sure, but I think you can get some more distance with the magnet by B reversing it and wave bouncing it. It might just be with the first one in the air. Been a while since I had the opportunity to play :/

That would be awesome. I can do sheild pressure with fox and Lucas but for some reason Ness escapes me.
P.S. I know that Ness can JC mag, my Ness would be really bad otherwise.

Yoshi's egg roll does the same thing, for some reason. Using it on the ground and rolling offstage takes away its aerial use until you touch the ground again. Hopefully the PMDT fixes both.
