Smash Journeyman
Recently, about a month or so ago, one of my friends brought in a game called Lupus in Tabula. It's a type of card game/role-playing game that is almost exactly like mafia, except it has... you guessed it. Werewolves.
Here's the synopsis for it: "A night in the cursed village: one by one, scared farmers are becoming dinner for werewolves, so they try to defend themselves as best as they can, by lynching all the suspects. Can you persuade them that you are innocent while you devour them all?"
We started a club for it and we meet every so often to play it. It's amazing. There are characters, much like the ones made in mafia, that have amazing special abilities.
The seer, during the night choses someone to uncover as a werewolf or farmer.
The werehamster is a "human" that cannot be killed by the werewolves, but is killed if the seer choses him during the night to figure out what he is. If he's alive at the end of the game, he is the only one that wins.
The possessed is technically human, and thus will recieve an innocent if the seer investigates him. But, if the werewolves win, so does he. Unfortunately, he doesn't know who the werewolves are.
The mythomaniac gets to choose who he wants to be by chosing someone during the first night. If that person is the seer, he becomes the seer; if that person is a werewolf, he becomes a werewolf; if that person is anything else, he becomes human.
And there are many more roles than just those that are used for even more characters, up to 24.
Now, I was wonderring if anyone has played Lupus in Tabula before or any other type of mafia that is sold as a sort of card/board game. Or if anyone knows of any other type of characters that could be used for this game. I'd love to get to know some of it.
