Personallu I Hate IT. It feels so cartoony, and while some may say that's to be expected of brawl, i cannot agree. Yes it's supposed to be a wacky game in nature, but this is simply...
I can only assume it's part of nintendo's EVERYONE campaign, but fans have come out with better concepts.

Discuss. And btw for you first flamer, i'll beat you to it.

Yeahhh... Really old, by the way. I don't mind myself, but I'm sure a lot of others will be after your head because of that.

Anyway, I like it. It's drawn really well and looks nice. I don't see how you think it's "cartoony". I would've preferred a computer-generated boxart, like Melee's, but this will do fine. My only gripe is that Sonic's not on it.

posted in the op is just my opinion. I didn't call this thread to open in order to burn myself at the stake, but if that's what it takes to get someone to actually post, i'll go right ahead

bobwaffles hit it right on the money for me. I grew so fond of the melee boxart after buying god knows how many copies, that seeing them all together, drawn, not CG. It's left a bad taste in my mouth. And yes, i've seen the first one, a long time age, i never owned smash 64 but tried very hard to get a copy--hard being a gamer in a family of scholar who'd always buy u books before games wait that's not funny

This boxart is sucking too hard on it's lolly pop.... it blows because it doesn't do the game justice:

the depth thing going on makes link take up 1/4 of the box, and awesome as he may be, metaknight is barely visible and many others were left out.

And where the hell are they!?
... NOWHERE! there's some friggin light behind them! ...wicked cool :/ (FAIL)


EDIT: the title of the game on a black background even, with nothing else would be much better ! Kind of like FF7 cover (japanese)... well thats a white background but you get the idea.... Or even the title of the game on a background with al the little game symbols on it( like the back of the Brawl Jumpfesta pamphlet )

We see almost all of the starting roster from SSB here, missing Yoshi, and DK.

Locked fighters - Ness, Jigglypuff, Luigi, Captain Falcon. Of course as secret characters none appear on the box.

If I am not mistaken, this box shows all of the starting roster in Melee.

Again, no secret characters appear on the box.

Notice that they never have locked characters on the cover, I know it's weird saying DK and Yoshi might be locked characters but it does make sense. Plus didn't Sakurai already say Sonic and Snake needed to be unlocked in Brawl?

Maybe everyone else gets unlocked during SSE?

I completely fail to see how the box-art is cartoony (other than characters like Pikachu and Mario looking exactly how they always look). I have no idea what you're talking about.

I really like it as it is. It looks much better than most Nintendo game box-art.

It is the final box art, go to Gamespot, that's what they have for Brawl, they don't put up "rumor box arts" ever.

It could be better, but it could also be a lot worse. I'm not in the "epic fail" camp myself.

It is just box art, so I'm not that concerned.
