Search for Reddit threads and Facebook groups for your city first then your state/ country. You may have to travel really far to attend some tournaments if your immediate area is dead, so plan ahead if you want to compete. That, or invest in Netplay to play online.

Netplay it. In my experience, you have to practice against more than one person to develop the mind game skill to play more than one competitive opponent. Once you master all the fox tech, you just have to work at the mental part of the game.
