After some months of brainstorming and organizing, I'm proud to announce the next chapter in Texas smash! In conjunction with the major TOs around Texas, the HS4 Board is proud to present the return of the Lone Star Circuit!

The LSC is a Texas Smash 4 circuit that will hit across different cities. With the help of different Texas TOs, the circuit will strive to promote higher attendance, higher payouts, higher competition and more hype that will lead into a championship tournament to be held in Austin, TX with a huge pot bonus and extended payouts.


The circuit will consist of having 1 event every month in a different city. Here is the schedule:

All of these events will make up the circuit. Points will be awarded to those who place well in the events. A the championship event, the top 16 players who were award the most points during the circuit run will be floated/put into a top 32 Pro Bracket. Everyone else at the championship event will participate in the open bracket with the top 16 of that bracket moving into the Pro bracket. Here is the point distribution for the circuit events.

49 players or less:

1st - 95 points
2nd - 70 points
3rd - 50 points

With how high Smash 4 turnout is in each city, its essential and greatly encouraged for Texans to travel to each of these events and accumulate points to boost your seeding and standing for the championship. This circuit uses 1 monthly for each month so every event matters!

Each event will contain a "circuit fee" of $3. 100% of this fee will be collected and clumped together to make up the pot bonus for the championship. Hopefully the championship will have $2000+ in just pot bonus money and will see an extended payout past top 8.

The circuit aims to interconnect Texas smash and thus will have the same ruleset. It will be 3 stock 8 minute with the national stage list (including TGM). More specifics will be included within each event page. We are expecting high turnout for each event with more hype for what's on the line.

Hey Xyro77 , for events with multiple occurrences like this, you should use the occurrence system instead of making an event that lasts multiple months. You can do this from Event Tools -> Add Occurrence in the top right of the page.

No. Online reg is the only way to register for these events. Doing so improves tournament run time and seeding. It also allows you more time to prepare for who you will face in pools/bracket.
