I was wondering if anyone has already done a definitive list for all the songs missing from Ultimate's enormous soundtrack of like a thousand songs. This could also include the infamously shortened songs like the DK Rap in a separate section. There's some accounts already here:

Notes:
-"Escape from the City" lacks the opening vocals of the original song.
-Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Main Theme (E3 2018 version) is also strangely absent from the game.
-Some trailers had music not present in the games (including the Super Mario Galaxy Airship Theme, Bowser Jr.'s Fiery Flotilla, the original Destroyed Skyworld music, The Chaos Vortex, Chaos Island, a piano-centric Jogging remix, Final Fantasy VII's Opening Theme, a racing theme from Kirby Air Ride, Two Worlds Collide from Mario + Rabbids, Goemon's theme, Beginning from Virtua Fighter 2, Ezio's Family).
-Ground Theme (Super Mario Bros. 3) is present, but is unavailable to be individually selected from its medley like in Smash 4, seemingly as an oversight.
-Victory themes have been shortened in some cases.

There seems to be a list here, though in the case of some (Sonic's?) they may have always been shortened specifically in Smash Bros games.
