Since Sakurai has been so generous as to give us a method of sharing replays amongst ourselves, a few of us have decided to extend that generosity by recording those replays for the ones otherwise incapable of doing so. Whether you're in need of critique, think you've found a new AT, or just have something you want to show off, we've got you covered!
How to Submit a Replay
- Submitting a replay is easy! First you're going to want to send a friend request to the person you intend to send the replays to, (assuming you haven't already). Currently, the people who have graciously volunteered to record replays are myself (NNID: Zelkam), Zane the pure (NNID: NiD_Lightman), and Link7 (NNID: Kidlink77).
- Once you've done that, boot up Smash and navigate to the vault where the replays are stored, select the replay you wish to send, hit 'send', check the name of the person you want to send it to, and send it on its way.
Rules for Submitting Replays
- Since this is the Link boards we will only be accepting replays that include Link. It's also preferable that you've been a part of the Link community for a respectable amount of time.
- We will only be accepting replays for Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U. If you have replays for the 3DS, or past Smash games I'm sorry, but we can't help you.
- After sending the replays, please make a post in this thread tagging the person you sent the replays to and include the following information: How many replays you sent, who the players are (if it isn't clearly stated on the replay), and the context of the replays (friendlies/tournament).
- Please send no more than 3 replays at a time to one person. Once those replays have been recorded and uploaded you will be able to send up to 3 more replays. Some exceptions might be made here given an acceptable reason (i.e. several tournament sets) and you've asked the person prior to make sure that everything is ok with them.
Once we have received the replay(s) we will proceed to record them and upload them to our respective YouTube channels. We'll then post the links for the videos in this thread to inform you that they have been recorded. Please be mindful that recording replays is a lengthy process. Time is needed to play and record the replays, edit and render the videos, and upload them to YouTube. As wonderful as it would be if we had nothing better to do than to sit around and wait for replays to come in, we do have lives that unfortunately prevent us from doing so. Rest assured that we'll get to them as quickly as possible, but try not to be impatient and needlessly bump the thread because things aren't moving as quickly as you had hoped.
