Usually whenever it's September, there's a good chance a Nintendo Direct is bound to happen considering these past traditions over the years.....

This is what I'm thinking could possibly happen according to my GameFAQs listings (but I don't expect everything listed here to happen as these are all just based off of certain online rumors and patterns that happen):

• New 2D sidescrolling Mario
• New updates on the Mario movie
• Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 3?
• New Mario Strikers: Battle League content
• Mario & Rabbids: Sparks of Hope
• Donkey Kong?
• Wind Waker + Twilight Princess ports
• Breath of the Wild II delayed (again)
• Metroid Prime (Trilogy?) port
• Rumored new Fire Emblem entry
• New Fire Emblem: Three Hopes content
• Pikmin 4?
• Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp (announcement of a new release date)
• Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
• More content for Xenoblade 3 and Splatoon 3
• Certain ports of other GameCube titles (like Pikmin 1+2 or F-Zero GX)
• GBA Online
• Updates on Sonic Frontiers?
• Bayonetta 3
• Revival of a Namco classic? (similar vein to Klonoa and Pac-Man)
• Metal Gear Solid HD Collection?
