Chase McCain has various disguises in his home game. 8 main different ones, but only 7 have special abilities.
These seven disguises are:

• Police
• Robber
• Miner
• Astronaut
• Farmer
• Fireman
• Construction

His neutral, side, and up specials can vary between disguises. For example, the police version has a grappling hook, the astronaut version has a teleport pad, and the farmer version has a gliding chicken. His down special would be the Disguise Booth, used for changing disguises. The disguise booth can be moved around by other fighters, though. His Final Smash would be the Megafig mech, seen in the final level.

While Chase indeed has a main role in his game, I'd think as long as LEGO is the franchise holder, they might get to decide which one of their own original characters can make it , considering most of their new media has game adaptions for Nintendo consoles. I assume in their view Unikitty and Lloyd Garmadon are also quite possible.

While the character was made up for a video game, Lego didn't originate as a video game; it seems like this falls in the same category as Android 21 from Dragon Ball FighterZ, where the character is original to a video game, but it's ultimately still a licensed game.
