Linking(simple)Guide

This guide will help people link Four Swords with other for multiplayer fun. :)
The guide may not be correct but it was successful for me.

____________________________

In order to play online with it you need the modified VisualBoyAdvance.

____________________________
I can't provide the roms sorry. But you need the Four Swords rom and the emulator VBA Link. Just google it up. It won't kill you to do it. ;D
Once that is done, it's time to get to business.
____________________________
Basic Steps:

BS1:

Create a file on the game.

BS2:

Once you created it: hover over to the Four Swords icon.

BS3:

Don't press start yet.
Now for linking:
___________________________
Linking Steps:
NOTE: The version I'm using here is 1.80.
Make sure you and your partner(s) select who should become P1.
LS1:

Head Options>Link>Settings... or just press Ctrl+M

LS2:

Set it to Network and the Link timeout to 10001.

P1: Head to Server and press Start.

P2, P3, and P4: Head to Client and enter P1's IP Address.

P1 will get a notice if someone connects.

After P1 finishes the searching process: it's head back to the game screen.

Once everyone gets connected: press the A button and...

...enjoy the game! :)

Just make sure you avoid this.

Alternate Way To Connect Using LogMeIn Hamachi
Usually this application is used for networking sharing for offices and businesses. But who would want that c*ap in SWF? This useful tool is good for people who could not connect using their host's IP's. Hamachi co-generates and maniulates your current IP for a easier-to-access Hamachi IP. In other words, a VPN network. :bee: Now for the method.

Download LogMeIn Hamachi (pick the free one!!)
Linking Steps:
LH1:Hamachi will create a extra network in your network tree, don't worry about it. Just don't connect to it. (it's gonna be useless anyways. o_o;;)
LH2: Your Hamachi's IP Address would be here.

LH3: Just like adding a IP, enter the host's Hamachi IP.
Your good to go!

Never played this game. It probably would be extremely fun with some friends though. Sadly, I am playing PokeMon FireRed on my VBA, and as far as I know I cant change games without losing everything.

Well fortunately, FS is like an arcade game, so we can treat it as such. Set up a session and play from start to finish or however far we can get in that time.

Oh this looks really interesting. I played this with a friend of mine years ago. I'd love to try it out!

Can't you save the game? It should be under File->Save or something like that.

Anyway, this is really cool! I'll have to try this sometime.
