It would be good to have LC on Brawl because she is such an iconic female video game character. But a problem is that she is a western character; that is non japanese character.

Um...okay.

She still has games in Japan, though.
She does have games in Japan, but they aren't really quite popular as with western audiences. Because she does not have that "japanese feeling" character made in Japan have which makes them quite popular everywhere specially their land.

Angel? more like *****, anyway, I doubt she'll make it, the license is way too exploded and the games have been bad for years! plus, there are other 3rd parties who deserve the spot over Lara Croft, the washed up video game character revived by a crappy Angelina Jolie movie. Her good games aren't even on Nintendo, and the crappy GB ones suck!

No you were not. You have nothing that proves it except your opinion. People saying things like that are just pathetic.
Lets see if MGS can survive as long as Tomb Raider can.

EDIT: I dont see what makes Solid snake so much better then Lara through that ?
You have to play the games to understand why he is much better then Lara as a character. If you have played them, well... then.. ****..

Hes a freaking legend, Lara is an icon not a legend.

Lara is great and all, I liked the old Tomb Raider games.. But she doesn't quite meet the stats required for a third party character to join the Brawl.

Angel of SSBB? That's a title more fitting to Celes or Tina (Terra).

I can't see Lara in Brawl. Without dual pistols or uzis, she's just not Lara at all.

No, that's a title fitting of Nina from the Breath of Fire series - and she actually HAS wings...

But yeah, there's virtually no chance at all of Lara in Brawl...

Ok just would have been better to ask "Why do you think she wouldn't get in?" Or something.

She has just a good chance as any other 3rd party character.

And people keep discussing her because that's what the thread's for.

Good chance because she is an iconic female character. But she does not have a chance since she has the stigma of being a western character.

Iconic? For being a female character I still dont understand how she actually became Iconic because she certainly doesn't deserve it.

Now that doesn't deserve a response, but I'm just a nice person.

Legolastom....*sigh*

Anywho, if guns had to be the case, she could use some sort of "user friendly" bullets, but no lasers.

Her stats:

Jump: *****
Speed: ***
Power: **

You have to admit that her good games aren't on Nintendo... and is impossible to develop a moveset without guns... Snake broke the rule so Lara could too, yet she is far from popular in japan and she doesn't look the kinda character you would add to Brawl.

She looks way too american, if you know what I mean.

Yeah, I see your point. I'm gonna use that image.

Anyway, sorry. I should have reacted like that. It hurt to say that about Ness. *shoves soap in mouth*

See my post above. Once again, that's your opinion, but tell me why she would "suck".
Because she has no right to be in Brawl, is why

Snake may have become a famous character on the Playstation, but the very first Metal Gear game came out way back on the NES, which achieved enough popularity for an admittedly non-canon sequel

Sonic, while he didn't show up on a Nintendo system until Sonic Adventure 2 on Gamecube, is historically significant for Nintendo because Sega was their biggest rival back in the day. People have been wanting a game where Mario battled Sonic for years now, and Sonic being in Brawl is exactly that. Why else do you think he topped Sakurai's poll?

Lara Croft, however, began on the Playstation and was definitely a Playstation character until the Game Boy Color game came out. Yeah, there have been a few Tomb Raider games on the Gamecube and Wii but Nintendo is not one of the first things to come to mind when I think of this character

This is almost as bad as people who think Cloud from FF7 has a chance of being in Brawl because he appeared in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Almost.

What I meant to say is that she is iconic as a female video game character. But most of her fame has been in the west, she is hardly known in the japanese market which could be a factor for her not to be in Brawl.

Correction, she is VERY well known in the Japanese market. "...Most of her sales came from Japan."

ALSO, she was awarded a spot in the "Walk Of Game."

And she received a Guinness World Record for "The most successful video game heroin."

Q:What other female vg characters have?

A: None. Zip. Nada. Zilch.

These make her a noteworthy video game character, yes

It does not make her a noteworthy Nintendo-related character

That's like saying Master Chief should be in Brawl because Halo 3 broke the record for opening day sales

Yes, noteworthy. Sakir-whoever probably has came across her before. She's becoming a noteworthy Nintendo character. People want characters like Lip, but she's not that noteworthy, other than having an item in Melee, but most people had no clue why it was called Lip's Stick, unless they thought it was a parody of "lip stick".

Nope, despite being a video game "hottie" she is hardly known in Japan, where here games don't sell well just as anyother western title does not do good in Japan.

You see, western videogame have missing that "spirit" which japanese products have, like having "cute" or "spiritual" elements. Western videogames hardly have any "spiritual" elements as they rely too much on "materialism" from my POV.

And yes that is why I say that Lara is an iconic female in videogames but mostly in the west, as the GWR and the Walk of Game have to be western concepts.

Sure Lara is known in most of the world except barely Japan, that is why she has to be the most known heroine. Samus came first and she is known in Japan, but people usually forget she is a woman due to her armor and Chun Li also did great for female videogame characters, but she was not the main star of her game.

Lara beats Samus and Chun Li in the world fame department; they are head to head as for iconic females but Chun Li and Samus have the fame in Japan which is a factor to be in Brawl, being a japanese product full of the "japanese spirit" not seen on western productions.

She'd still have her bazookas.
Snake already has something like a bazooka. TC is in denial. But we all know she won't be in the game anyways.

Seriously Prefering her over Ness makes me vomit.

Don't throw the opinion card on me. I am not saying my opinion. I am stateing a fact.

Might as well make a topic ALL THE JEWS FOR BRAWL

Do these sales come from her Playstation games or her Gameboy games? I'm leaning more towards the first.
