Even after trying many chars throughout the years, Pit and Bowser are the only constant ones. I even like DK and Wario and unfortunately MK and D3 (for the TV show), but cant use em well, and started hating Wario, and the others.

I'm not garbo with him but I definitely could use tips from the mario greats. I'm looking at videos from boss and 2fast, ironically they both have vids for best vids thread.

well kuro since you seem to know my style pretty well who do you think would be a suitable secondary/co-main/maybe new main for me? actually this question applies to everyone who knows or thinks they know how i like to play. seriously, so far esca has told me time and time again to try zero suit, but i've always been so die hard solo pit that i never seriously have used other people since i first started. fyi i mean use other chars at tourney seriousness not, obviously i like playing other chars just for fun.

im open to suggestions from any tier, just not MK duh. besides i tried mk for a while and i just don't like his feel. it's too rigid and well, uh, i guess to good for me to use lol. i can't handle being that broken and thus fail lol

Just get better with pit/marth imo. Your marth seemed better than your pit though that was in terribad wifi

I think if you used marth you'd become a better player if u stuck with him for a while. He'd help work out your weaknesses as a player.

What happened with me was I took a 4-month break because of how stupid the game got when MK just kept on dominating tournament after tournament. Going from July to August was when I was trying to get back in the Swing N' Things with the Pokemon TCG (I'm still competing in tournaments to this day), and I focused on that for a while.

When end of August came about, that's when I started to Major in Graphic Design along with an elective course (took 3 courses, 2 for the Major and 1 for elective) to earn more credits. Unfortunately, the Graphic Design course didn't turn out to be what I expected at all. It was all basically sketching in paper and pencil and the teacher expected us to draw the persons face within a minute, so I decided to drop 2 classes after that and i'm still taking the one elective (Nutrition).

In October, I applied for a retail job, called "Wonder". A toy store company that sells products geared for children ages newborn to 7 years, and they also have a play area as well. Also, i'm working there part time (32-36 hrs. max, while taking 1 college course at the moment).


One day, I saw an add on the bulletin board at the college campus that said "We are hosting a video game tournament and here are the following: CoD, MK64, SSB, SSBB, Madden 12, etc. this saturday" and I was all hyped that they were going to host a Brawl tournament. That's one of the reasons why I got back into Brawl. Not to mention, a girl at work kinda inspired me to get back into the game, so I can try to impress her by saying "Hey ___, I won $160 from going to a Smash tournament!".


Basically, I'm working at Wonder, currently taking 1 college course at the moment (planning on taking 3 college courses next semester), still playing Pokemon TCG, and recently just got back into Brawl. I haven't played Brawl however since July, so I'll definitely wind up playing very sloppy.

pit has one of the best MU spreads in the game without MK around and so between him and diddy you'll be rockin the PR again in no-time.

As far as the girl thing goes, I've been trying to flirt with her, hoping it would work and so far it has (I think....). I just need to take one step further and get into a deeper conversation with her. xD

With MK being banned, I'm almost better off just maining Pit and using Diddy as my secondary. One reasons I mained Diddy in the first place was because of how cool he was (I didn't expect him to be this good), and Diddy has been one of my favorite characters all the way to when I was little =.

i've been neglecting brawl a lot as of late. over the last 6 months i dont feel like i've been getting any better at all. i just dont like wifi(lag drives me crazy), i have no one in my town that plays well, and i only have one tourney a month with the exact same group of about 20 people. i'm only better than 3, about equal with one and i'm much much much worse than everyone else at the tourney.
it's demoralizing and makes having fun with brawl hard D:

@xcallion you won't see large improvement for a long while. You have to hit a certain point first then you can constantly improve just because....like...idk it's hard to explain. I just recently hit "that" breakthrough myself so that's why i've seen ridiculous improvement in such a short amount of time.
