Know Your Moves: Ness and Lucas

Smash YouTuber, @RelaxAlax (Channel Link) has premiered a new entry into his Know Your Moves series. This time, he's covered the two protagonists from the Earthbound series -- Ness and Lucas. RelaxAlax has covered the origins of their movesets, and how they reference various aspects of the Earthbound series. The video goes in-depth, but RelaxAlax provides some lighthearted comedy to make the viewing experience extremely enjoyable.

The full playlist to the series which covers the moveset inspiration behind a ton of Smash characters can be found here. Characters like Rosalina, Ice Climbers, and Ganondorf have been covered in the past, so check them out!

This goes to show how poorly some characters represent their own canon.

It's necessary to take some liberties once in a while with stuff like Rule of Cool having a hand in it as well. Ness and Lucas abilities are mostly support PSI so it's a little difficult to work with that for a fighting game, and due to the vague visuals of the moves during gameplay it is hard to make out how an attack really looks like and how it should work.
And in reality, Lucas's and Ness's movesets can be interpreted as a representation of their party members and their games as a whole instead.
