Nintendo part also was leaked? I have to recognice that I'm not very linked to /v/ or rumors except if they become big enough, but the most hyped leak for Ninty I saw was one talking about F-Zero developed by Platinum and more. The Ridley-no cuts-Belmont leak, that also was on fire then, seems still legit despite Simon but still it´s not 100% accurate. Maybe I didn't read the whole thing but I don't remember a full Nintendo leak.

It was different from Verge's leak. It was a /v/ post basically saying all Smash characters would return, + Ridley + Daisy. Verge never said Daisy.

Then it hit me, he apeared a few episodes in Sonic Mania Adventure, possibly teasing his playable inclusion. I think this leak is legit, like 75% for now. But if Nintendo announced a new direct on that date, then everything of what he said is real. And you know what that means. It's his finest hour!

That would make sense. Playable Metal Sonic in Mania would be so sweeeeet... Still though, I'm gonna play it safe and assume that this leak is fake unless somethin' comes up. If this leak is the one that I've been hearin' about all day, it kinda sounds too good to be true.

I’m not completely sold on it but I do think there might be /some/ legitimate info in there. The 22nd Date seems iffy due to it being a second live stream of Nintendo’s booth at the Jump Tournament. Wow I'm amazed that so many things are falling into place for this leak. Even the insane amount of info makes sense, too. They may want to recover some stock with some big, cross promotional announcements. The Mother 3 thing, the FFVII thing, and the Cuphead thing are concerning me, but there is so much correct info written here that this leak is either legit or this anonymous poster on 4Chan is the greatest guesser of all time.

A thing we should note about Mother 3 is that it is not a re release for western fans. It is an entire remake making it into a 3D game, making it Mother 3D. This could be a possible case of Nintendo recognizing the potential of releasing Mother 3 again(Considering Mother 3's horrible timing of release on the GBA wounding it's sales and stopping it from being localized in the west). They know there is a demand considering how much people wanted Lucas back in Smash 4 and the reaction he garnered. I think it is an important distinction.

Of course, anyone is going to (consciously or unconsciously) show bias towards ones that favor their own wanted characters, and against those that don't. Remember how quick we were to reject the idea of K. Rool as an AT a few pages ago?

As of right now this is probably the one people are most justified in believing, but I refuse to give it anything above like a 5% chance given how it really does seem too good to be true. I guess we'll find out as it gets closer - if we don't get an announcement for it within the next week I think we can say it's not happening.

But I saw that the Dixie thread actually got some traction for the first time in a while, which is cool. While my love for K. Rool overshadows it, Dixie is also a top newcomer choice of mine, and as long as K. Rool is also in I'd have no issues with her inclusion. Hopefully she wouldn't be an Echo (semi-clone at least, but original character ideally)

This Reddit thread does a good job at explaining it. It's either true, and a lot of people including us are going to be very happy for Smash and other reasons, or it's a detailed fake leak that managed to predict or learn about one specific thing and make things up from there.

ESRB, Vergeben, and probably Gematsu all had doubters when they were first introduced for one thing or another seeming too far-fetched. I'm still not budging from my 5% chance stance, but I do recognize the trend. Leaks are fake until proven legit.

I find it weird that fallout and final fantasy 7 remake would be on switch. Unless for FF7, maybe thats the reason why they started over with the game. To have it on the switch. I'll be paying attention to this leak carefully

It is safe to assume that something is gonna happen, we have two dates that focus on Smash play when we have such a short time(Compared to Smash 4) to the release.
