What's up everyone.... I have lurked for a while and finally decided to register. Living in Topeka.... any other capital city smashers? My 3ds has seen constant use since getting my hands on the SSB4 demo and I am looking to meet others either here in town or even Lawrence and KC. I have never participated in any competitive tournaments and would love to change that, I have loved Smash ever since playing 64 Smash non-stop as a kid. I'm 26 now and that has never changed. Anyway, I decided this thread was a good place to post for the first time so that I can meet some locals and begin getting involved

There's a bit of people in Lawrence, some more in KC (overland park primarily). I'm only responding cause your post has been sitting there for a while, they've all moved on to the facebook pages. "Kansas city/Lawrence smashers", look for David John or Anthony White to give you the hookup

(Major Announcements regarding $1100 pot bonus tournament)

First Off, Roll Tier X4 is THIS SATURDAY. You no longer must pre-register to sign up (Yes, you may now register at the door!!!!!!!!!!!), but the fun starts on Friday with our set up party ran by the Velvet Room, bringing the Smash Chateau to Bellevue.

Friday starting at 7 (possibly earlier) with casuals, money matches on stream and maybe some competition as well. Please bring your TV and Set ups on Friday!

Also Friday is your last chance to be guaranteed a spot in our free single elim. Sm4sh tournament with $70 to 1st and $30 to 2nd. Registration for all events will be open Friday Night as well.

If you are coming from out of state and you haven't pre-registered please let me know asap, or please call me if you are running late, we are going to follow our schedule as much as possible!

If you are local and you can house, please let me know asap.

Also, if you aren't local and need housing, please let me know asap.

Currently we are planning on having people from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Georgia, "Wherever the hell M2K damn well pleases", with possible people from Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado gracing us in Nebraska, making this possibly the largest gathering of midwest west players in the history of mankind.

Probably should've looked for this thread before making one of my own. Anyways, are there regular meetups in the KCMO area that aren't on weekends? Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays to be specific, since those are my off work days. I'm fine with both casual/semi-serious play, and it would be nice to have a reason to leave my house that isn't just for work. I'm in Blue Springs, myself, but I'm willing to make the drive to other towns in the area, provided it's not too far out or something.

With over 140 people registered for the great Revival this weekend in WI, things are looking great for the MW so far and we expect things to be just as crazy up in MN with the Warehouse Throwdown 3.1415!!!

The 2nd leg of the circuit is in S. St. Cloud, MN on March 14th 2015. Registration will end March 6th at 11:59 pm (DIFFERENT THAN POSTED AS OF THIS POST), and the venue fee will increase by $5 on Feb 21st.

Please come support the midwest and celebrate PI day the right way.
