Don't just check Smashboards... check GameFAQs too... the people that've been to E 4 All WILL tell you (or won't if they can't remember ha) that one of Diddy's alternate costumes is Dixie colors. (Gimpyfish has yet to include the taunts/alt colors for characters in the massive Brawl impressions thread... that was a week ago and he's still not done with it lol)

Anyways... I've come with some news I just noticed...

Bramble Blast as music, eh? Well don't that name sound so familiar don'cha know.

The music from the famously irritating bramble stages in DKC2 is an option here... which means DKC2 is being represented, even if just in part. Which means that there's going to be a stage loosely based around DKC2, and a character from DKC2 as well... sure we all know Diddy is in there, but honest I think the way Diddy has been made, he fits representation from DK64 more than the other DKCes. Who else then could rep DKC2? Dixie? Already got her as an alt. costume with Diddy... hmm, let's see... DK's tied up, Cranky's got no moves, ditto for ****y/Funky, everyone else is basically Goomba-level fodder... except for one person...

Hehehaha, I think K.Rool's chances of being in just got that much higher. (Please excuse the strange logicing in the above paragraph... it's 2 am for me... I'm tired lol)

Fox can SH triple laser.
Fox can jump out of shine, but it requires that you hold down and B, you can't let go or he'll go into a different animation, hold down and b and then jump.

Bowser is hardcore.

Up+B out of shield is same, just as powerful.

Samus has a dark suit red visor, Fusion suit, Sonic costumes are recolors of blue, Fox has a starwolf outfit. Diddy Kong has Dixie Kong outfit without the hair, Bowser has a golden costume, made out of gold.

Mario's fsmash is so slow,

Samus can't missile cancel, animation doesn't stop, hard to do though.
Bomb jumping is tough, hitting bombs not directly on top of them knocks you to the side.
If you die as zero suit, you stay as zero suit, you can't automatically be zero suit like changing from Zelda to Sheik at the beginning of a round.

Samus charged shot isn't strong, peach was shot with it fully charged at 87% didn't kill.

Can catch edge even if you're facing wrong way, edgehogging is easy. Edgehogging will be the new edgeguard of choice, characters ‘click’ to it.


Peach is nerfed.

Sonic, not as good as you expect
moves don't have much knockback, kind of 'loose',
all the new chars, he's least popular, hardest learning curve

Do an aerial that has forward momentum and when you land it’s almost the same as a waveland. Certain moves / aerials have less friction/traction,

DI is more pronounced, you can get out of stuff a lot easier, takes knockback easier, can survive until 150.

L-canceling is not in as far as we can tell.

How does the game feel: Feels slower, definitely, on classic, feels awkward, accidentally jump alot, can't SH on the wiimote, everyone is so floaty. Brawl plays really differently, it’s awkward for now because not used to it. Not a lot of lag for moves, maybe lag lowered for sake of demo.

Fox's model doesn't actually change, but his fur color and clothes do. It really looks Wolf-ish.

Diddy also has a Dixie costume (barring the ponytail).

I'm sorry; I can't remember exactly how many. But it's definitely more than two. Five seems right.

You can jump one or two times, Icarus Wings, fly around, cancel it, and then use your remaining jumps to attack. It's awesome.

And there IS a Dixie Kong outfit. It doesn't give Diddy a ponytail, but the clothes and fur color match Dixie. It looks a lot like her.

His costumes are basically just recolors of his shirt/hat, except for the pink one, which also alters his fur color to be lighter. It makes him look a lot like Dixie Kong (bar the ponytail).

The only thing that worries me is the Kong's SE. In the original DKC, K.Rool was the one who stole the Kong's banana horde. This time, we actually SEE that it's Bowser who took them instead. That's the kind of thing K.Rool should be doing... which worries me...

EDIT: Oh, also, just my $0.02, as I scrolled up at the two different-looking K.Rool's, the though occurred to me that it would be a no-brainer to choose the earlier K.Rool. Smash now is about a realistic look, which the old K.Rool is closer to than that other... non-Rare... weird version.

But why would Sakurai give us a match up we've seen countless times before. The S.E. gives us the oppertunity to see characters from radically different franchises team up/go head to head (Pit and Mario, Meta Knight vs Fox).

And yes, RARE K Rool is the one we want. Lets hope they dont tone down the bog-eye for the sake of political correctness.

As far as I've read, he actually doesn't get Dixie's hair.

But who cares, Sakurai would put K. Rool over Dixie anyday. Dixie is in less games, has a less obvious moveset and just wouldn't be a unique character.

i think any developer who picks up projects and characters that rare has worked on previously always look lackluster compared to rare's efforts... look at Star fox adventures amazing visuals compared to assaults. same with all DK games..

I read somewhere that since bowser's in, the probability of having another massive lizard villain has gone down. but that's a load of crap. i think k. rool has more moveset potential than most characters on the roster. every game he's been in he's had a different gimmick and weapons, attacks, etc. it would be really cool if in smash he drew from all different things he's done

Haha, that would really be perfect! All the great villains in there. It doesn't matter to me if others join this villain group, but those are the characters that HAVE TO be in.

I really can't wait playing as K. Rool and to see that he finally is in Brawl (playable).

Claus will only get in if Ness doesn't because there is no way in hell both are getting in and Ness is probably more likely considering he's more popular and well known.

K.Rool bloody better be in and in his Rare design, I like PAON, I just prefer Rare and their designs. DKC is a western franchise, and should remain it. I don't like Diddy's Brawl render, not like his original awsome model.
