RULESET
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U:
  • 2 stocks, 6 minute timer for singles bracket and 3 stocks, 8 minute timer for doubles bracket
  • Best of 3 until Finals
  • Best of 5 Finals
  • Custom movesets are set to off
  • Items are set to off
  • Custom moveset Miis are legal under the Guest Mii presets, but equipment and items are not permitted. You may not change your Mii's moveset in between games in a set, and you may not upload a custom Mii from the 3DS
  • Amiibos are not permitted
  • Legal controllers are as follows: Nintendo GameCube controller, Nintendo Wii Remote + Nunchuk, Wiimote, Nintendo 3DS, and the Wii U Pro Controller.
  • Pro Controllers are only allowed under the pretense that they have the battery taken out and are connected via USB. If you are caught not desyncing your controller from your setup after you have played, you will be disqualified from your bracket, no exceptions.
  • Starter Stages are Battlefield, Final Destination, Lylat Cruise, Smashville, and Town and City
  • Counterpick Stages are Duck Hunt and Dreamland
  • In the first game of a set, players choose characters prior to stage striking. As soon as stage striking begins, players may not change their character choice.
  • All games following the first game of a set, players will strike stages first, and then they may choose their character.
  • 1/2/1 stage strike order for the first game of a set. RPS can be used to decide who will strike first.
  • The winner of the previous game will strike one stage from the Starter and Counterpick stages, from which the loser will choose the stage the next game will be played on.
  • In a Finals match, the first stage strike from each player cannot be changed throughout the set.
  • DSR is off until Finals
  • Gentleman's Clause is enabled
  • If Final Destination is chosen as a stage during any game in the set, either player may request to play on Omega Palutena's Temple. This request cannot be denied.

Please notify a TO if you are leaving or if you are going to play in another bracket. If you do not show up for 10 minutes after your bracket match has been called, you will be disqualified from the set. Ask a TO at the event prior to your set if you have any questions, or post on the event page prior to the tournament. The tournament organizers at this event are Adam Denchfield and Carter Milan.

Amateur bracket has special entry requirements: you must have placed out of top 8 or below 7th place of the main event and not be on the city power rankings in order to qualify for the amateur bracket.

PRICING
There will be a $5 venue fee and $5 Wii U singles entry fee. Side events are either doubles or singles amateur bracket, which have entry fees of $2. At the moment, we only accept cash for venue and entry, no credit or debit. You will receive a full discount off of your venue fee at the end of the singles bracket if you bring a full setup, which includes a Wii U, GameCube controller adapter, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U updated to 1.1.6, all DLC characters and legal stages, and a monitor. You will receive a partial discount if you bring just one component, either a Wii U or a monitor: more details coming later.

PRIZES
For singles, if there are 16 or less entrants, 60/30/10 split of the pot will be awarded to the top three placing attendees. If there are 32 or less entrants, 50/30/15/5 split of the pot will be awarded to the top four placing attendees. Beyond that, a 45/20/15/5/2.5/2.5 split of the pot will be awarded to the top six placing attendees.

For doubles and amateur bracket payouts are a 70/30 split of the pot across the board.
