If you want to start playing the puff you need to know rest combos to even have a chance competitively. In 64 rest is pretty good. Not as good as melee, but close to it. Jigglypuff has rest combos that are super simple and can lead to easy kills.

Down air
The first combo I found out by myself when I played as a kid. It was fun showing my friends up and destroying them. Making me the king of smash 64 in my neighborhood. If the opponent is grounded when puff does her down air, they will go up a little bit. Just enough time for you to jump and land a rest. It works at most percents. Don't spam it they will be expecting it.

Up Tilt
If you catch an opponent with one up tilt, you can juggle them for a while until you can finish it with a rest. Can be used with a down air. If you down air, you can use an up tilt and then finish it with a rest. Doing pivot up tilts are a good option.

Up air
Good if the opponent is on a platform. This is also useful if used after a forward throw. At higher percents it cant be pulled off because of the moves knockback. Make sure you have your jumps saved on this one.

There are some other combos that Jigglypuff can do that can lead to Rest, as even any attack that will knock the opponent to the ground can set up for a rest. Dair + Utilt is a combo I've found to be reliable, as it usually gets the opponent to enough percent that any prior damage can confirm a kill. Dair on its own isn't as reliable, so I try to get utilt also. Another point I want to make is that bair can setup for a dair due to its low knockback, which is a great Rest setup tool.

good thread, very helpful.
