Yeah seeing how Ness is as good as gone, I'd say Claus's chances are really good. I hope he doesn't put Stafy in. I wish Sakurai would give us North American(Don't want to exclude Canada) character requests that we want like Geno and Ridley.

I still hope that Sakurai will be exercising moderation with regard to the inclusion of Japanese exclusive characters, as he alluded to in the Toukouken over a year ago. I'm more or less expecting Stafy and another MOTHER 3 character, but after that I'm not so sure. I guess I'd like to see either Sablé or Richard (or both together as a tag-team as parotthead suggested) from For the Frog the Bell Tolls.

I think Stafy is the most likly, considering how sakurai said he wanted kirby and stafy in the same game and that stafy being in brawl would mean he'd most likly come across to america and europe from the advertising.

After that comes Sukapon.

I'm trying to keep an unbiased outlook on characters like Stafy or Takamaru. I may not know much about them but I'd like to see them in brawl so that I CAN know about them.

Think about it, if japan characters in brawl that we don't know, wait about a year, then we will know them. Marth was only japan when melee was release and I'm sure if people knew he was going to be in melee some would have gone against it saying the havn't a clue who he is and that they want characters they know....and now many people outside japan know marth and are his fans.

Exactly, I say more characters, the better. Heck, some of them might even get a revival.

Japan only characters are lame, especially because i'm a Marth player, its lame. I dont like marth as a charcter, i just happen to find his moveset good so now i'm stuck playing a character that i don't really know anything about (until i can be meta knight)

You mixed up what i said...I said they'd have a better chance of having there game gt on VC if they get in brawl, not if they get there game on VC they have a better chance of getting in. Sheesh

A Smash appearance has absolutely no influence in when their games are to be added to the virtual console and it still doesn't justify having a bunch of retro japan characters.

why? theres no logical reason why you should think that. if you randomly saw a character, and thought he was the coolest thing in the world, and he became your favorite character ever; but then you found out that he was Japan only, you would instantly think he's lame, despite the fact that he has everything you want in a character? that makes no sense, and make you sound like an idiot...

anyways, Takamaru and Claus are my most supported/wanted Japan only characters; Takamaru is practically a shoe in (what with how much Sakurai and Japan wants him, and with all his Katana wielding competition getting AT'd) and with Ness gone, Claus has a good chance. any other Japan only characters are awesome in my book, because pretty much all of them are original and interesting; but Takamru and Claus have my top spot.
