it is really bad but back throw is good

What even is this thread??? What’s really bad, exactly? Use nouns, not pronouns.

Also, standing grab is frame 6, and dash grab is frame 9. Ness’s dash grab was frame 8 in Smash 4.

All I know is that back throw is really really good. So is down throw

Grab window: Small

Grabs: Good in every direction. (maybe not up)

Combos: Several great Ness combos start with grabs

Sure, its no Melee Marth grab, but its still good!

Sure, its no Melee Marth grab, but its still good!
Up throw can actually work as a mix up. I use it sometimes when they’re not quite at backthrow percent (like around any time after down throw drops comboing-110% or so or 130% or so center stage depending on weight). Ness likes characters in the air. Once they’re in the air you can mix up PK Thunders, Uairs, and sometimes bairs and pick up a surprising amount of KOs

Don’t get me wrong a lot of times back throw is better for spacing and getting them off stage but uthrow works as a mix up
