Is there any way to shorten the time the Down+B attack lasts?

You have 2 options
-Get hit during the downB kick
-Hit the ground during the downB kick
Both of these cause the hitbox to no longer exist. The former is bad because...well, you get hit, and the latter is bad because you suffer from quite a bit of landing lag (unless you cancel it by sliding off the edge of a platform/the stage with it)
