Is there and “official” tier list yet?

The game has been out for a month and I am curious to see what is the most accurate tier list now

It is literally impossible for there to be an accurate Tier list this early.

Besides, imo, tier lists are fun to look at but shouldn't influence who you play.

Demo...the first tier list for Smash 4 was released a little over a year and even then it was made in a rushed manner, especially since and my girl were released at that same time. If anything, an official tier list may be contemplated by the time all the other DLC fighters are released. So****e, it could possibly be about another year. That said, I cannot wait to see everyone's tier positions.

Wait until all the dlc characters are out and people have months of research on them for a real tier list to ever be made for Smash Ultimate

No, but a tier list is probably easier to form than it is in previous games. For now we can just divide characters into:

GREAT (very safe/reliable)
GOOD (obvious flaws)
OK (bad air game/no safe spam)
??? (maybe bad or just unknown)

Basically, everyone's faster. Humans can only move so fast. That means characters with the safest attacks (quick hitbox, high active frames, low end frames, range) are easily candidates for GREAT/GOOD Tier. Whereas messes like Zelda, Incineroar, Castlevania Bois, and etc. are just OK (or lower).

Tier lists would also need to be Online/Offline since the 2 are not perfectly transferable. For example, Inkling is basically Non-Nerfed Bayonetta Tier online. But offline they're among the mortals on the tier list.

tbf with how many characters there are, it might be nice to look at a tier list and make a list of characters you like that are pretty viable. Like, for example, pretty much all Zelda mains picked her before looking at tier lists. So they're stuck with her and her easy to punish kit - because they're addicted to sparkles, fashion, and sass now. Warn your friends and family of the dangers of choosing a bad character to main before it's too late.

But hey, at least Zelda's kinda viable in Smash this time around.
