Is adding a cape possible?

I'm looking to make a BOTW style skin for YL and I want to give him the hood/cape from that game. Seems pretty impossible but I figured I'd ask before giving up on the idea. Thanks!

You can give anyone an unanimated cape, what i don't know is how to texture it though.
