Yeah, Santorum's random surge through the polls was crazy. Not bad for Ron Paul with a third place finish. I'm looking forward to the other caucuses and what they may bestow for Ron Paul.

Actually, this was a loss for Ron Paul. He was polling well in Iowa, and coming out third hurts his future.

Santorum's surge is specifically the result of the Iowa GOP doing everything they can to slow down Ron Paul. They stated specifically that they intended to back Santorum to pull some votes away from Ron Paul, because if Paul won their state, they would be discredited by the nation.
