For those that don't know, I work for a site called Wii Live. A little while ago, I received an interesting email from some random person. They claimed to go by Brawl Insider and said they had some inside info. Sounds like a load of BS to me, but I thought I'd post the email here and let you guys be the judge:
QUOTE (Email from Brawl Insider)
Hello DarkWish, I have come to you with something you shall hopefully find
valuable. I will not tell you my real name, but you can call me Brawl
Insider or BI for short. The reason for that name is because I have some
information for you. Without going into details, I can tell you that I have
access to certain information on Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I recently came
across Wii Live and saw that Brawl is something you are greatly interested
in. I have my reasons for sending you this information and not anyone else
and all I'll say is that this way guarantees me the least amount of trouble
for leaking information. Do not ask me more on the subject, because I will
not reply. Before I continue, I must lay down a few rules. First, you can
choose to post this on Wii Live or not, that is your choice. Second, do not
give out my email address and if you do, I will cease to contact you. And
lastly, I will tell you what I know bit by bit and I have my own reasons for
that. If you have any questions, email them to me and I may or may not
answer them. I hope you understand. Now, I shall continue with the
information.
For now, I think the following bits of information should suffice:
- The starting roster is what is on the official website, minus Snake,
Sonic, and of course Zero Suit Samus. That means a starting roster of 20
characters.
- Another third party character will be revealed sometime in the next 10
days.
- I can confirm to you that the following characters from Melee have been
cut: Pichu, Dr. Mario, Mewtwo, Falco, Roy, and Ness.
- Captain Falcon is returning, but as an unlockable.
- Young Link is returning, but will now be based on the one from Phantom
Hourglass.
- Zelda can transform into Sheik, just like in Melee.
- And finally, Lucario is playable.
I hope you comply with the rules I set forth because if not, it would be
unfortunate to lose an inside source.

Most of it is just too obvious, so I'm calling BS, but you never know. I sent a reply, so I'll let you know what he says when he responds.
